Love this slideshow, but just want to note: my grandfather Robert Sivell was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire according to records in Scotland's People & also the Scotland Census 1891. He chose Kirkdudbright as his hometown as an adult. He married into a Kirkcudbright family (Sayers), and acquired the land where he built his studio & home (The Hollow, Stell) from the family.
