Robert A. Sollazzo served in the SEC’s New York Regional Office for more than 38 years (1982 - 2020). He began his SEC career as a securities compliance examiner and became an Associate Regional Director and head of the office’s Broker-Dealer Examinations Program in 1992. Mr. Sollazzo was a recipient of the SEC’s highest individual honor, the Distinguished Service Award, in 2003. He also received a Presidential Rank Award that was bestowed by President Bill Clinton. Mr. Sollazzo is a graduate of Brooklyn College and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York. Mr. Sollazzo’s previous employment consisted of various accounting and auditing related positions, including experience as an auditor in a national accounting firm.
