That was a weak reading of what little Richard accomplished. He was the inventor of modern rock and roll, influence Elvis Presley, Pat Boone, and others who stole some of his original material and recorded little Richard songs. James Brown, was his vocalist, Billy Preston his keyboard player and Jimmi Hendrix on guitar. Little Richard took the Beatles on tour with him long before anyone knew who they were. Richard was not given recognition for 47 years when they finally gave him a Hollywood Walk of Fame in the mid-1990s. The music industry ignores his accomplishments for decades until Richard himself publically shame them as a guest on live tv at the Grammy Awards in the '90s. He had a hard life growing up in the racist South but as an adult was naturally funny and found laughter in his life.

That's what the music industry do, it's marketing. Before an artist become famous because of his music, not his marketing, they awarded the artist as the next new thing in the music and they overglorify the artists before the public apreciate the artist by themselves. But then, the industry critics his music for nonsense and made them look that the worst because "as the music industry", they think he can do better and have high expectations about that artists, and the public starts to get confuse and we start to hesitate about the artists quality, because we think the music industry know what music is, but they don't. Music is subjective, the public could apreciate different type of music by themselves, but the music prefers to preach us, they don't want us to know we hear music because we like it, that's not a mutlibillonaire business. That's why every black artist except for Little Richard have respect, they don't want us to believe a black artist started his billionaire business with his music. It's not a coincidence Richard wasn't there. But after that, they invited him to every show and make him say jokes about how he don't get any recognition because he was abused by the business, and the public laughs because they think he is crazy and he is just mad and have an big ego, but he is saying the truth. For some reason Ray Charles got Jammie Foxx to impersonate him in Ray, Little Richard might have get Prince to impersonate him in the 80's and in the 2000 movie, but even if Little Richard was a producer of the film, they started to film without his permission and chose Leon to impersonate him. For some reason Richard said in Arsenio's interview you need to read by yourselve, don't let a preach tell you the truth.

The errors were clearly intentional. The powers that be of the music industry obviously had an issue with Little Richard. They stole his songs and gave them to white RnR artists. They stole his money. Then they tried to undermine his influence on RnR music. Little Richard is the King of Rock N Roll.

Little Richard gave his life to Christ decades before he died. He, like so many of us, did not live up to God's standard all the time, but Christ's presence in his life was obvious to me as a kid in the 80s. His unapologetic Holiness Preaching the last years of his life are to me just an extension of his legacy. He got SERIOUS serious toward the end and the same way he promoted party lifestyle with no shame, he turned around and told us all that HE had been wrong and that WE had to get right like HIM. That's a real LEADER right there. Those of us with an ear for the Spirit of God knew he was using his platform to call us to Christ. I'm STILL trying to live right. Pray for me. I'm making changes but I want the Lord to change me ALL THE WAY.

This ceremony was the very first H of F ceremony in 1987, where they got it right by inducting all the original Rockers, before they moved on to those that followed, in future ceremonies. Ideally they should have had someone from the British Invasion Bands to induct LR. Keith Richards {also rather poorly, l thought} inducted Chuck Berry at the same ceremony. Richard had a nasty car accident and couldn't be there - probably just as well - with this insult. John Fogerty inducted Buddy Holly really professionally. He could have taught the others a thing or too. The Elvis one wasn't too bad.
