I planted 2 Summer Crush Hydrangeas in front of my house. I noticed that the flowers are pink but mixed in with the pink is brownish petals. And some of the green leaves have brown edges. Do you know what would cause this. Also do I need to deadhead these. Summer Crush hydrangeas and if so when?

Too much sun causes the brown leaves (burnt). I had the same experience and moved them to a shady spot - under a large tree with filtered sun. In a 6a zone.

Mine did the same thing. I moved them to another garden bed with shade from a tree. I clipped the brown leaves and new leaves are growing in, but I just don't like the brown and green deciduous flowers that were once a bright pink. The blooms come in pink and turn brown and dark green. I deadhead them when they start to dry up.

I am very Interested . Is it a hardy panicle spesis which can take Zone 9 n above . My country is Malaysia . An equatorial climate n enjoy easily 8 hrs of harsh sun light .Can consider summer through out the Year . Pls recommend .
