Hello! I think I'm saying this right, but I was the one that took out your stormbreaker at 1:09 . I'm a new player, and I spawned at the front and a guy needed a roll push cart gun guy to help him, and I ended up on that taking out tanks, watchtowers, and the stormbreaker. Hell of a great time on both sides, what a blast! The whole battle sold me on the game, trying to get my hands dirty now doing logi.

For this war I’ve played Colonias for the first time. At the start, we were a lot but as the Wardens captured and gained terrain, we started loosing faith pretty quick (speaking for myself and the mini rigiment I play in) Lot of logi players stopped playing, and our three attempts to build and maintain a concrete bunker base failed. I don’t really believe in break wars, but this time I really feel like the colos weren’t motivated to play or even attempt to win battles
@RobertLovesGames3 ай бұрын
That's cool to hear you switched up what faction your playing! Colonials had a great start this war but us Wardens have slowly been chipping away it seems. I feel like what happens a lot is when an update is announced a lot of players stop playing just so they have the energy to play when the update war starts. You also have some players that only play when they are winning. It's always a number of things but yea I would defiantly not call this a break war. As you may know I hate the term "break war" but if I were to ever say a war was a break war now days it would have to be a war that ends under 15-18 days. That would be an indicator telling me that one side did not log on. But wars that are still getting close to 30 days tells me that people are still out there trying their best. Thanks for sharing that!

Another falls to the consummate urge to be helpful, welcome to builder purgatory. 1. Yeah, stick to push bunkers. BIg meta bunkers can be not just a lot of effort, but a lot of commitment to build, maintain, and qrf (which seems to not be your style) so if you want to experience it as a more casual player you'll want to poke around with a regi that has offered to have you along for the ride. Observation bunkers can be a smaller scale project for advanced bunkers if you want to mess around with t3 stuff, and are overall very educational. 2. I like to stockpile a full private stockpile of bmats nearby (make sure to pick a front that's actually likely to push to make your stockpile), and if possible, a few ACVs, flatbeds, and emplaced guns. Just bmats is fine enough, just something to keep you from guzzling everything from the front. 300c is a bit overkill but sometimes it's not and you can always just deliver or release the leftovers. 3. Things to worry about when placing your bunker base: -Make the core harder for infantry to hit with an MG from the front. -Make sure tanks can't mow down people spawning in the bunker without a heavy flank. -Make sure friendly logi doesn't naturally park in the spot where friendly infantry run out of. -Have the minimum 5 pieces + 1 core piece, at least for t2 bunkers; t3 lets you do some funky stuff but with t2 you'll hurt the repair efficiency of the bunker and make it a bigger target for arty. Make sure to put garrison modifications in the bunker core (4 of them, which you can place along the walls). I suggest an egg shaped core with the bunker exit facing the road, it's bog standard for a reason. 4. Once the bunker base is up and the pieces are up to t2, cry for starter kit logi and for people to set their spawns. 5. Then, worry about extra defenses. They come in a few different flavors: -Pillboxes are quick to set up and require very little thought, slap a few up to protect everybody while you work on other things. Alternating MG+AT pill lines are a good way to provide some bare minimum defense, but it'll get vaporized by arty and can get flanked easily, so rifle pills are still nice to mix in and scatter all over the place. -Trenches are your #2 priority. Chances are somebody else will have already dug a few while you made the pillboxes, but you can either fill them in or work off of them. Barbed wire is super handy here, and sandbags as well (but a bit less so), though unfortunately logi will usually be swamped with more important requests. I find the trenches shaped like |/\| with the two connectors in the middle to be the easiest good trench to spam out, but anything that isn't too big, too small, or easy to mow down will suffice. Make sure the connectors aren't too angled to keep people going in opposite directions from bumping into each other. Ramps in the back of your trench can deny the enemy firing spots if sandbags aren't available. Try not to dig too many trenches or they'll become a great place for enemy infantry to ambush your tanks whenever you push up. Also, don't upgrade them, it only gives a small amount more health (and makes them hard to remove later), though protection from mud is nice in the rain. Reinforcement trenches (basically a zig-zag moving forwards) can help your boys get further along more easily without getting shelled or shot. -After some trenchworks are up, if your push still hasn't moved up enough to warrant a new bunker, you can start on infantry garrisons, which will give cutlers and lunaires a bit harder of a time than pillboxes. Put them a bit away from the bunker core (because artillery), and optimally protecting a trench; if your pillboxes are still up you can place them right behind the pills. Keep your bunkers small and simple (at most like 7 pieces in the form of a Pi bunker, but mostly more like the usual 3 piece 1x3 spam or 4 piece Y spam, which will be much easier to repair and rebuild). Load MG bunkers where you can (especially on roadside pieces), as they have more range and can more easily kill a cutler/lunaire user before they get out of range. That said, ensure your entire line won't break open and get flanked from a few pieces dying, so rifle garrisons are essential as well. When you can, remember your engine rooms or you'll get pve'd at night, but for a push bunker they're a bit less important. There's a lot of bunker designs and names out there; I'll advocate for the BUILD discord (which is colonial but has guides and resources available to the unverified public) for listing them. -At some point you may amass quite the following of people helping you build or dig, especially you thanks to your fame. In that case focus on starting up new trenches and bunkers for your shovel+hammer horde, and if you get too overwhelmed trying to think things through before the horde insta-digs everything behind you, get somebody who looks like they know what they're doing to break off and work on a different part of the defenses to take some of the horde with them. It's important to keep helpers behind what you're designing because fully dug bunkers and trenches have different hitboxes to the undug variants, which can make placing things annoying if the previous trenches are already dug. 6. After bunkers are made, you've about reached the limits of a push bunker. Import emplaced guns for your trenches, spam barbed wire and mines, shore up weakspots, set up artillery positions, or say goodbye to it and go to bed. You'll be fighting over its ruins by tomorrow if the push wasn't successful, and if it was you'll get to drive by what remains for a few days while supplying logi to the front, until it decays and returns to the earth. If you read this veritable essay of a comment, thanks for sticking around, I hope it helps on your journey of Sisyphean suffering that is the builder's life. Frontline building is mostly all about persistence. Your stuff will get blown up but you just keep trying. Forward spawns are always great in a fight like that, so long as the logi players use their heads and don't over supply it. There's all sorts of quick stuff you can setup with trench emplacements + EMGs/EATs or sandbag strongpoints or solid trench lines.

Was probably one of my greatest gaming experiences working together to make that initial break. was quite saddening to see all the progess lost and then more the next day.. but i suppose thats the game XD in a side fun note, one of our tanks survived 3 consecutive days of combat, i think we lost like 3-4 tanks and that bloody thing still survived :D long live horatio! we got less tanks too and we can barely repair them.

What is the point. Once a side has 25 victory points, not the required 32, the game is over. Yes there have been the ultra rare occasion when a side has come back from this, but for more than 100+ games it is the end. While your tanks were ‘winning’ this magnificent victory the collie logi hub guys were having jeep and tank races.

I mean if you are going to think like that why play the game? I guess it would be your choice that every war once one faction gets to 25 victory points you could just quit until the next war. I personally don't like to think that way. Would make the game less fun to play. Plus some of the best battles and best times I've had in game is being on the losing side and doing last stands in big cities or getting desperate supplies to a base to hold on a little longer. You do you though. To each their own.

wanted to join from start but queue alway 15+ so i spawn to the south and hold it

From home region in this video Deadlands was at 18 person que. I got that flatbed full of bmats and instantly got in. Sometimes bringing logi to the hex can make you skip those big ques which helps a lot! Nice work holding the south!

don't worry about bunker building in frontline, spam 1x3s in a perfect square it wont have ai for a entire day more important is routes for the bunker base outside and hexagons with eats and starbreakers and some barbed wire trenches will resist artillery better than bunkers
