I am coming from fluid dynamics class, this kick was our subject. It is called Magnus effect and very precise rotation that he gave to ball caused this. He is not only amazing player but also knows fluid dynamics 😍😍😍

Its a bit more than that guys. He kick so hard the ball goes into turbulent flight and goes super straight the first fraction of second. And then it goes back to laminar flight and the magnus kicks in, making a sudden sharp turn. Very different from lets say beckham's bending. However carlos' kick is not replicable in modern balls.

@@andreasfrom582 modern ball has much better or no stitching and better surface sculpting so it takes higher speed to achieve that spinning turbulent flight. Knuckle ball have no spin, so its easier to get into that turbulent flight, having more drag IIRC.
