I remember watching this and the commentary on the broadcast was hyping it up... "It's Roberto Carlos taking the free kick...He can make some magical things happen to a ball in flight."... Usually the end result disappoints, but I was shocked to see it was even better than what I could have imagined. Sheer wizardry to hit a ball that hard, and with that much bend, from that far, and nick it in off the post.

Even as a Swede I get warm and fuzzy watching this. It was just three years after Sweden got third place in World cup in the US and our country was at its peak coming to true patriotism. Since then it has all got downhill, steep. Thanks to the uploader, makes me feel the taste of times that once was.
