Coming out of Houston, we'd travel to all four corners of Tejas to catch a Roberto Pulido Y Los Clasicos dance for over 40 years. Always genuine, they greet us like familia. We'd torch the dance floor like no tomorrow to the great tunes they played. Every song was a floor buster. Had the best of dance times, met some fantastic people during the course. Give a million to go back to those grand days. Thank you Roberto and Los Clasicos for enriching our lives.

Leonel Pulido was one of the most underrated accodionistas. Could listen to him for hours. Hearing this brings tears to my eyes.

One of the most humble musicians we ever met. Super cool guy. His accordion music will live for decades to come. Gordo, Flaco, were the best as well. We enjoyed a ton of dances featuring Pulido, David lee, and Los Aguilares. Take me back to those greatest tejano days!

That’s not a chromatic accordion.

It is in the beginning. 4 rows on the treble side, many more bass buttons than a diatonic. Obviously he switches to a diatonic throughout the show.

A 4 row is not a chromatic. It extends the amount of keys you can play in. A chromatic is A 5 row.

@@johncruz9357 not only that, look at his hand positioning. That folded thumb on the keyboard is a “traditional” chromatic hand position. Not sure if it’s a B or C system, but that’s irrelevant because I play chromatic and diatonic so I know what I’m seeing lol.

As everyone knows him as Primo, I know him as my cousin from Edinburg, Texas. I remember when we attended the same jr.high n high school. When were kids n a group us were walking to Junior High that morning, Roberts dog was following Robert in our group of kids when we were crossing Highway 281 when a 18 wheeler ran over his Bulldog. It was a sad n tragic day to have witnessed it n Robert was very sad. We Love You Primo n the whole Pulido Family.❤

Funny how so many people think they know 'Pulido' as we all called him. What most people don't know is that my friend Pulido, was such a sweetheart and so was his Mom and Dad, but that's another story. What they don't know is that Pulido could kick some ass, in a Mexican Minute, which 30 seconds. Heck one day back in the 70s a mentally challenged kid we grew up with was stabbed by a pachuco. Pulido would have none of that. He went up to this guy, poped him in the face and knocked him out, dead fucker. I know, I was there. Down town Edbg..
