Here are my thoughts on uploading often. This month I had 2 million views. Three years ago Casey Neistat said his channel improved when he uploaded every day. So I said,"Let's do the same." I didn't miss a day for three years. I do have an advantage because some Math videos are quick uploads. It was challenging and many late nights. I teach full time, but it was also fun. I look at it statistically, you increase your odds of success, you have more feedback about what is working, you get better and faster at creating videos. It tells the Universe you are not playing around with your KZbin channel. Just my thoughts

Awesome video. I am small KZbinr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

My biggest KZbin hack for KZbin not showing my video is always make sure you use an end card. Make sure you ALWAYS add the element "Most Recent Video". That way when a new video comes up people that watch your full videos will always see the newest video on your channel giving it a bit of a boost.

I feel 100% like you. Perfectionism and fear of failure. And impostor syndrome, "who the hell am I to coach" feeling. I've had a KZbin channel (not this one) for 3 years, but I have uploaded maybe 8 videos. My series of videos on how to write motion letters still gets views passively without me uploading any new content, though. I don't have 1000 subs and far from 4000 watch hours (haven't checked, no idea how many watch hours I have), so no monetisation. Also I cannot chose a niche for the sake of me:( I don't feel confident teaching anything

Man, I really appreciate this video. Been grinding out our YT channel and really loving the work we've been creating and trying to raise the bar / do something different in the commentary space. @Voolenvine4 жыл бұрын
I create crafting content and used to upload a weekly 45-minute episode, sharing ALL the projects I've been working on. But lately, I've started experimenting, uploading much shorter themed videos twice a week. For example, one episode just about knitting, another about sewing, and another offering tips/tricks/tutorials. I've been getting great feedback from my viewers and definitely noticed an uptick in subscribers and watch-time. Bonus: I'm not spending a whole day editing! 😅 As you said, it's going to vary niche to niche, but the key is to do something different from what others in your niche are doing. 🙌 Other KZbinrs in my niche usually publish long-form videos that follow the same talking-head/show-and-tell formula. There's nothing wrong with that, but this way of recording was growing stale for me. I wanted to start creating the videos I would want to watch and more importantly, actually have time to watch. I'm still experimenting and finding what works, but so glad I decided to mix things up on my channel! 😄 Thanks for another awesome video, Roberto!

Also thank you for saying there's no blanket answer for how often a person should upload. I do one a week with the occasional second in a week, and in less than 3 months Ive hit 4000 watch hours and on my way to 1k subs, this really works for me and stops be from getting too burnt out 😀

@Artsy Animations I just put as much effort into my videos as I can, like I have no free time recently 😂 I guess i also have the advantage that I'm a CGI artist for my full time job so I know photoshop and other bits of software really well, so I guess it gives me a headstart in a way, you'll get there dont worry!

This very interesting! Niche does have a HUGE impact in probably how much you are going to upload! I'm a gaming channel and it really depends on what type of gaming content you upload.. if you just do gaming news or like tutorials, guides, etc, those might take a bit more time with editing so you wouldn't need to upload daily, as long as the content is also relevant and has good SEO. But if you do stuff like let's plays, gameplays, etc, you could probably get away with uploading everyday because it's very easy to record while you just play through something while only making minor edits. It all really depends on what you want to upload.

It kinda sucks that most of the time you have to make content on things that are trending to increase your chances of success. I understand that's what the people want but I just love making content that I like even if it means not getting as many views. I know it's not going to work in the long run, but I really want to just make content that I enjoy :)
