My Father named me Finny because of the testimony of Charles Finney.. but I never observed and went too deep in his personnel relationship with Christ, Ministry & Testimony... and today i had been with my wife and son out at the beach singing hymns and praying in late cold evening... coming back home i then recalled what my father shared about Charles Finney ... then today i searched for the Testimony and i found this ... Praise God now i know what Lord wants me to spend more time in secret place and to seek the Lord... Thank you for this video.. it provoked me and inspired me... And I believe coming days there be a great revival in this Land... God bless your ministry to provoke and to remind His servants to build up and buckle up.... o

It has challenged me and encouraged me. I am a preacher and it has encouraged me to be more in prayer. I am anointed, but this is a confirmation to be in more prayer and fasting. I really love Charles Finney and how he was a fine example of how the Holy Spirit uses a man. Thank you brother and God Bless

@@bradrob2863 This is a great point. Note, my friend, I wouldn't be saying this unless there was evident fruit as in John 15 and there were other people that say I was anointed too. I just know that this video has helped my ministry and has challenged me and encouraged me. I hope it has done the same for you.

Yes l will agree mr nash and others were key to the power of Holy Spirit out pouring in these revivals.... There were other important keys that were instrumental When Finney put the emphasis on the individual for his sin and which through the power of Holy Spirit brought deep conviction and deep repentance which was followed up with a Baptism of the Holy Spirit this brought a total transformation which lasted in many who received this..! Prayer is so important but also the real truth must be preached...

Thank you for posting. So grateful. In one of the first words in your video, you noted that Charles received the Holy Spirit in 1897 and I thought that was a long time for him to receive the Holy Spirit and do all those feats in Christ. But I think you meant 1827. Just wanted to bring it up coz I found it fascinating.

Interesting, but it would have been more beneficial to have included quotes of what Finney said he believed or did not believe. He did not believe that Christ died to atone for people's sins. He believed Christ's death was to reassert God's moral government here on earth. Putting one's faith in Christ meant placing faith in his death as an example of the ultimate sacrifice a believer should be willing to make when building good works towards one's spiritual perfection. He denied the substitutionary atonement of Christ. His quote, " Original sin, physical regeneration, and all of their kindred and resulting dogmas, are alike subversive of the gospel, and repulsive to the human intelligence". This makes sense when looking at how he seemed to continually seek a deeper spiritual experience after his initial conversion and baptism. He also believed that Christians must bring about social change to usher in a utopian society that would allow for Christ's return to earth.

Finney must of been entirely sanctified, that would explain his mighty baptism and influence. Prayer is not effective if our hearts are not being sanctified as we walk in the light, today's church looks at these heroes of the faith and draw all the wrong conclusions.

It's shocking to me that you consider Finney to be a hero of the faith when he didn't believe in original sin. How is one filled with the Holy Spirit yet doesn't believe in the sufficiency of God's Word? I say that because he went into the woods in order to know about his own salvation and didn't search the scriptures. What scripture supports A DEEPER INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

He didn’t lead men to God, but to themselves. At best he was a semi palagian and that’s being generous. He pointed men to themselves and he manipulated the will with all kinds of means.
