I need help. i have been so on fire for the Lord this past month its been a joy and just so awesome, Praise God. but recently i have been not on my game in terms of reading the Word and spending that precious time with Jesus that we all need and love. i have been watching so much stupid youtube and its all just becoming so unbearable to me. why am i doing this? why do i let it continue? and i really dont want to believe the lies of the enemy telling me im falling away and im going to be rejected because i know that isnt true. i know God loves me and He calls me a son. i am redeemed and reconciled by the blood in Jesus Name Amen. but i can’t allow this way of life to continue. i love Jesus and i want to love Him with everything I am. i feel distant from God, like He is just disappointed, and i know thats not true. but somewhere there is a disconnect to what the Word says and my ability to make it my reality. help me Jesus. just putting this here if anyone would like to pray or something. @charlescalvinofficial I was like this months ago. All of sudden there was just burning desire to spend more time with the Lord. I asked anyway and started getting into the rabbit hole of supernatural and understanding how the Holy Spirit works. I then asked the Holy Spirit for the gift and prayed and believed that I received and started having my own prayer language. I have been praying in the spirit for more than a month and the Lord has opened His spiritual realm to me. I have seen visions, revelations and have been experiencing trances. It’s amazing how the Holy Spirit reveal things to you before they happen. Sometimes they are posiitive revelations, sometimes they are not. Still I pray everytime the Holy Spirit unravels things to me. Lately I feel like 1 or 2 hours of prayer is not enough. I will pray for you that you get the same fire and hunger for the Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit. I would like to recommend the book entitled The Walk of the Spirit - The Walk of Power : The Vital Role of Praying in Tongues. My youtube playlist is filled with teachings about the Holy Spirit and tongues. I believe you should seek this gift and rpthe Lord will break your addiction to youtube non-sense. God bless you!

Yes I agree with my brother and sisters replies. The enemy wants to not only distract, but bring condemnation. We are all walking out our salvation and the key is to NOT QUIT. If you don't quit, the devill will. Stay humble and ask Him to meet you as you read and pray. He is faithful. Praying for you!

Number one reason why you shouldn't: It's not real. Linguists and language acquisition experts have studied this so-called behavior. What they found was that no speaker of "tongues" ever made a sound not native to them. When you learn to speak, each language has its particular set of sounds. No tongues speaker they studied used any sounds that weren't already in their taxonomy of sound production, their "library" of sounds they already use - meaning: it's all gobbledygook babble. It's the same as if you sit down at a computer keyboard and just randomly hit keys. If you never employ a symbol that's not on that keyboard, then all you used was that same keyboard of symbols.
