@@teflondon4963 on a 147 you dont pot the pink apart from at the end, so its impossible for it to be on its spot yet the commentators always seem surprised that it isnt on its spot even though the reds always move it

Only if it remains there on the break (and throughout), or it miraculously rolls back onto its spot through a cannon. Has never happened AFAIK and I wouldn't have thought it ever will. It's a good pub quiz question, but easy once you realise it.

Kirk Stevens of Canada has the world's highest break in tournament of 153 in a single frame, his opponent missed the reds and snookered behind brown so free ball takes brown as red and takes blue and smashes pack open then makes the black ball only total clearance. There was some controversy some years later when he got banned for life from the wpbsa for powdering his nose during play as to whether or not this record should stand but it was quickly quashed as it couldn't be proven whether or not he was affected by substances at that time so his record still stands today. Oh, and AFL is Australian rules football. Stands for Australian football league, used to be called VFL or Victoria football league, the common man's terminology is to call it Australian fairy league.

Thanks to Ronnie..cause he celebrated all of his 15 '147' breaks in casual reaction of celebration.most of it...once in u.k. championship 2008 play against Mark Williams.he's like yeahhhhh fist pump!..maybe the prize money of 147 break is 147 thousand pound
