I have suffered from IBS for years to the point that I was missing or having to leave work because of it. Even intentionally made errand trips very short because I never knew how my body was going to act from day to day. A year and a half ago I completely changed my diet and now eat plant based. This was for me, an instantaneous improvement to my IBS. It’s a pain but finding your trigger foods is key. I know this may not be the answer for everyone and it’s super inconvenient to re-haul your entire diet. Meds never worked for me and I just got sick of feeling bad every single day. Food journal maybe might help also? Good luck to you, I know the experience is awful and not often talked about. I applaud you for doing so and hope the best for pain relief and comfort. 💛

I suffer from nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia) and switching to a mostly plant based diet helped me a lot. I was at the point where I couldn’t take the pain and the amount of medication I was taking. I was able to go off of all my meds for a brief while, although I am back on some but not as much as I was. Anything is worth trying to see if it will help. Try slowly though, if you are worried if you can do it. Dairy was the biggest culprit for pain for me and I still don’t have it (except for some cheese every once in a while...and I pay dearly for it). It may be worth trying.
@ZijnShayatanica3 жыл бұрын
My IBS symptoms wound up being an intolerance to lactose & eating anything too high in fibre, fats, or refined carbs/sugars. My pancreatic enzymes aren't LOW, not enough to warrant a prescription supplement, but they're lower than average, so I've found I digest food normally as long as I ensure I eat small, balanced meals that are moderate or low in those things that irritate my gut. It's annoying, but it's better than abdominal pain & malnutrition. 🙃
@tianamariee62873 жыл бұрын
I also used 2 suffer from severe IBS, I tried everything, from food journals, overhauling my entire diet, medicine, etc. Nothing worked, until I started using CBD products (oils/gummies etc.)& actually smoking cannabis, now, 3 yrs later, I am all but symptom free🙌. Every once in a while I will have a bad day, but nothing like before and I'm not on any prescriptions for it.

I completely agree that it is difficult to match foundation when you’re neutral! It’s either too yellow or too pink so then you end up buying multiple shades to mix to try to match your skin tone.
@anatolia02223 жыл бұрын
I constantly get matched as a warm so I've learned the hard way not to trust people colour matching me as I often end up too orange or yellow. Even so called neutral shades are often too warm leaning for me, but apparently cool tones aren't quite right either. I'm genuinely starting to wonder if I have a cool olive undertone. My mum does for sure, but she's in the USA and I'm in the UK so I can't exactly compare directly.

As an IBSC sufferer for 50 years, I wish there was a simple answer. I know you’ve investigated all the usual things, so I won’t bring them up here. Tips from my experience (which may be different to yours): stay hydrated with water, if something smells like it will hurt you, listen and don’t eat or drink it, find a doctor who gets ibs (not easy and I’ve been through many), find a community like the Reddit ibs one where you can get a laugh and some support that your symptoms are real and a simple answer like more fiber or low fodmap diet will cure you. I get bad cramping with my episodes, but I’ve had doctors who say ibs doesn’t hurt like that. Communities who experience what I do helps keep me sane from this nonsense. Be kind to yourself. Have a moo moo available when you need it. Get painkillers and/or antispasmodics if that is what you need to have on hand. I went to pelvic floor therapy for my condition (I called it poop class) and that has really helped me. Hope something here helps. Wishing you the very best of health and luck.

The only thing that has worked is not eating foods that result in an attack. I had the help of naturopath who did a food allergy test and gave me supplements as I was so deprived of nutrients - my stomach wasn't absorbing nutrients properly. Anyway see a naturopath and see if that helps. It takes a couple of months for results and it's hard to cut some foods and drinks out but not having constant attacks and being drained has been so good. Good luck with it all 💓💓

Re: IBS... I've struggled for years and was even too physically disabled to work at one point. Even though there are so many of us struggling with it, it can be hard to talk about, especially when there's still stigma surrounding it. So thank you for opening up about that Robert! If you haven't already, please talk with your doctor and don't be afraid to escalate care to a specialist if you have not already. There is finally more medical research being done on therapies for IBS as it is being taken more seriously, and there are some investigational therapies already being used off-label that can help some people (as it did for me). I know it's also super frustrating to focus on simple non-medical solutions (besides the cursed fodmap diet lol) bc we want and deserve serious treatment, but don't forget the basics and understand our physical triggers. For me for example, my IBS flares up badddd when I don't get enough sleep. Those of us with chronic illnesses of all types need to really focus on those little things more than others and it feels unfair but is so important! My mom was diagnosed with diverticulitis many years ago and also has a history of stomach ulcers, there are many things she cannot digest properly. Even plain water will sometimes make her feel nauseated. Robert, I suffer from IBS as well and I completely understand how you are feeling. The only thing that's helped me consistently, is digestive enzymes from the company Enzymedica. I've struggled for years and tried so many different things and while this hasn't completely gotten rid of it, it is the only thing that makes me feel most like a human being. I'm a vegetarian so I use the one specifically designed for fruits and vegetables but they have others meant for people who eat a regular diet. I get mine from Amazon and I take one first thing in the morning everyday. Keeping a journal of what you eat and what triggers your ibs will help a lot too so you can avoid those things. I hope this helps! Sending hugs from Cali!

I had really bad IBS for a while. What really helped was eating probiotic yogurts 2x a day for a month or so and adding fiber supplements to my diet.

The Pro Filter foundation is my favorite, I like how it sits on my skin and softens my texture a bit, I also love the eyebrow pencil... I've liked pretty much everything I've tried from Fenty... What I didn't like that much were the Stunna Lip Paints.

IBS can be so depressing. I had it from age 32 to 40 and then it disappeared. I think the main thing is regular light meals of non processed food, lots of veg, low fat food. My worst triggers were tomatoes, bread, eggs, sweets. You're not alone in this. I'm sending you healing vibes. Stunning look tonight!!!

I see beautubers struggling to put two eyeshadows on their lids and here's an actual pro being the quickest yet most precise and sharp with FOUR shadows. Love it. The confident control you have in your brush placements and movements is astonishing. 💜

Oh god, Robert thanks for showing me the correct method for cream blush! I was laying it in with a sponge and it got really clowny looking. I just need a natural flush. I'm going to the beach this weekend, and I just need a light beachy look, not a full beat.

Ibs stuff: Bimuno probiotics, comes in powder and I literally just mix it in my morning cuppa, it's tasteless and found it has made a difference, cutting out proper coffee - decaf is shit but you get used to it, peppermint everything, heat pad, if you get any miracle cures please make a video on it or comment!! Nobody ever wants to hear this but IBS, if it's really intense, can be made manageable with a diet overhaul. Takes time to get it right but can be done with plenty of research. You've officially influenced me to try all things Fenty 😁 been thinking about it for a little while. Thank you! L O V E your content Robert. Take care xx

As someone who suffers from IBS when I have a flare up I like some peppermint tea. It helps settle my stomach and ease the nausea that comes with a flare up. My doctor is talking about using a prescription drug for my IBS which is said to really work on the symptoms.
