You are the best, Mark! You're the one that got me collecting. I owned about 10-15 bottles, which seemed obsessive at the time. Now I'm a bit shy of 200, yet I have most of the fragrances that you just listed. I have since slowed down my purchases, but I still buy 4 to 6 bottles year. You represent the magical times in the fragrance community, I'm just glad I was able to witness it.

Great video, glad you're back. That older 2010 bottle of Jubilation 25 is a gem, the newer version lacks longevity and sillage IMO. I picked up 25 for Women recently- Etiket had a sale on the 50 ml & 100 ml's, both look sold out now. It's remarkably close to vintage Mitsouko/Roja Diaghilev- love it.

This summer I found a bottle of Issey Miyake l’eau d’ete summer 2009 80/125ml left, on ebay! 35usd. After you’ve hyped it for a decade I finally had the chance to buy it and smell it. It’s a gorgeous uplifting slightly sparkly citruses summer scent. Amazing!

I saw the previous video, I understand the need to feel that you'll never run out of your favorite fragrance, I try to resist the urge to buy backups because it means sacrificing buying a new fragrance and maybe discovering a new favorite one, my new No. 1. I now have a little over 180 bottles which means that if I use each 4 times a year I maybe die before I finish my collection, that's my left brain trying hard to convince me, my right brain, well... I'll get some backups 🤷‍♂😬 My backup list: Stephane Humbert Lucas Mamba and Soleil de Jeddah, Orto Parisi Cuoium, HDP 1740, Fidelis and Ambrarem, LV Noveau Monde and MFK Oud. They are too good now. There's some great channels that do this kind of thing. They actually buy the fakes and do a side by side.

Great video as always Marc. Funny enough most of my niche bottles are running low. Just a few ml of Musc Ravageur left, but TI and SDV are running dangerously low as well. Maybe New Haarlem and Coromandel would be good to buy too in 2023. Will see how it goes over the next few months. Not even talking about Pear & Olive...

Good luck with your finds , I’m always trying to get muglar fragrance, just ordered one from eBay 🤞hope it’s the vintage one it says it is , comet edt … sucks sometimes living in Canada (for fragrance purchases) I found 3 people way cheaper but won’t ship here 😡so frustrating.

Pure Malt is certainly worth a backup (The TM version, not the Mugler), but not Orange Zest for me. Never was on board with that release. Pure Tonka and Pure Wood were the last for me I think. And from what I've read, you may want to consider getting a vintage backup of Jubi. The newer bottles don't get the best feedback. Always difficult when you have such a superb older collection like yours Marc. I wish you only the best of luck!

Thank you Sir and I agree with the house of Mugler they do need a wake up call and hope that's what they are working on. I'll probably get a decant or sample of Jubi to see the changes before I go looking for a vintage.

Try and seek out a 2015 bottle of jubby (made in Oman). The new batches with jubilation xxv written on the bottle are pretty weak

Check Antlantus virgin island water- carbon copy. Lasts way longer also and very punchy on the coconut with the fizz in the opening

Damn it Marc. Where were you when I couldn't give away a 90% full bottle of Pear+Olive back in 2018? I think I sold it for like $90CAD after it was posted for sale for several weeks. It's an awesome scent, but I just wasn't wearing it at all.

Mugler was definitely my favorite designer brand love the A men line missing a few like ultra zest to add to my collection. Like you looking out for a great deal won’t pay the crazy prices. In my opinion don’t think Mugler will ever release a new flanker. The brand has died in my eyes. Also looking for a back up of virgin island water which I love my favorite summer sent. 👍

SOD Le Male, a 200 mil I bought years ago I think as a b.u. I've bought 3 The Dreamer over my collecting life. I resist b.u. because, small budget and lust after so much new i don't have. I am low on Spice Bomb however. Side note in the above line "so much new" The suggestion bar had nonsense when I hit new.

i hit heavy for both tbh, gourmands like that I usually wear during our Canadian heavy winter months so explains how the bottles are near the end.

Guerlain is one of my favorite houses. Not sure if you plan to purchase your backups new but the prices at Place Vendome are the best I have come across for the arts & materials line brand new. I purchased my bottle of Gourmand Coquin from them last year. They have it on tap. Waitlisted of course. You might already know about them so I don’t want to go on and on about them. Any way wanted to put them on your radar.

@@robes08 It is beautiful and a bit of a unicorn but the funny thing is, out of my Guerlain collection it isn’t my favorite. I prefer Teazzurra and Black Perfecto over Gourmand Coquain. Now have I lost all my street cred? Lol. A heads up since it threw me off the first time ordering from them. They are a boutique in Brussels and do not have an online store. Rather customers order via email. Steven’s email address is in the contact section of their website. Just ask for a line sheet then you can see what fragrances they offer and their prices. I have heard that import taxes can be high in Canada, I bring that up because I live in the US so what is less expensive to me may not be less expensive to you. Anyhow, with your collection you are probably well versed in import tax costs when ordering from the EU. Curious to see what you think of Place Vendome. ~ Michelle

I'm lucky enough to live close to this boutique (close to the border between Belgium and France). They have the best customer service ever. I really recommend them (they have Hermès, Chanel, Guerlain, Amouage, Cartier, Oriza Legrand ...)

I think Pear+Olive will be hard to get because it's long discontinued and hadn't been brought back, even for a short period of time, I'm afraid. I might be wrong though, there might have been one small batch around 2018-2021, however I'm not sure though. Not sure at all.

My back up bottles are 2022 : -1 100ml Dior Homme Parfum ( price is getting up -134€ to 146 € ) - Dior homme original ( 2 bottles/ each year ). -Dior homme intense. 1btl 150ml - 1 Chopard Musk Malaki / 1 Oud Malaki 1 Versace Oud noir 1 Artisan pure 1 Versace the dreamer 1 Valentino uomo intense ( badly reformulated) 1 200Ml of Grand Soir. A few ( 20) Mancera travel sprays And Montale 20 MLs First back up for 2023 will be 40 knots Clearly 50ml is not enough

The new Jubilation, last about 3 hours and projects for about 10 minutes. Absolutely butchered. It’s my worst performing fragrance in my whole collections. Even Mercedes Benz Cologne lasts longer. All of the amouage’s with the name on the front are super weak, Try to cop a vintage for sure.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. My experience with Jubilation XXV in the newest packaging with the newest font (2023 batch) is much different. It wears dense and lasts at least 8 hours on me with 2-3 hours projection. The honey note feels thicker and the blackberry note feels more syrupy. I'd say an average performer for Amouage standards. I was fist introduced to Jubi back in 2017, and my 2023 bottle does smell reformulated when compared to batches I've smelled over the years, but by no means is it watered down or an EDT now. It's still a beauty.
