80 fps with ray tracing set to ultra with the highest graphics settings and 4k resolution on cyberpunk 2077 is crazy

A desktop instead, of similar price range would be clocking atleast 130fps(with the settings mentioned here), so it is not technically or even near a desktop replacement.

The MSI Vector 16HX A13VGH has a FHD screen and it's 144hz. Be wary of that. The MSI Vector 16 HX A14VX is the one with a QHD 240HZ screen and it costs around €1000,- more!

In what way? It’s a sponsored video but would love to hear what I said that was in accurate or misleading. We work very hard to give opinions but I only said who the laptop is for and not treat it like a review, I also said it was expensive and even mentioned criticism on the upgradability. We do sponsored pieces but this doesn’t feel like one of our reviews

Something people should be aware of is, despite horrible price a 4090 mobile is roughly equivalent to 4070 regular and 4080 mobile is somewhere between 4060 and 4070 in performance. I would always recommend desktop over laptop for gaming, but if you want a laptop, for light gaming I would go with latest integrated options, but if you want modern games to run and not get fps dips, a 4080 mobile with 12 Gb VRAM is likely a much better option than a 4070 mobile with 8Gb. As system memory goes, 32Gb for modern gaming.

Have you tear down the vector to gain access to the ssd? I want to add another ssd to the vector but haven’t seen any tear down video yet.

I got the 18, and they messed up putting the power plug on the back of the laptop and, of course, easily got bent, or the power connecting now is on or off. If I move it, that is how loose it is now.

Because at high you give people a minimum. So you know it can only go up. Versus giving a base which makes it harder to determine how much worse your performance may be

Is the 16” HX Vector laptop really that difficult to upgrade? I’d probably want to put more memory and a 2nd HDD in one, given that they seem to come with 1TB and 32GB in many COTS configs.
