These are probably my favorite video's that you do. Some day I would love to share my PCGS 1853 XF45 FS-801 Half Dollar. It was in a box of coins I got from my father in the 1980's and got me into Coin Collecting. It was so hard to find dealers to give me an honest appraisal of it and get it graded for me. I finally found one that actually looked at it and saw the Reverse Doubling and helped get it graded. They are a very high end dealer and while I try and give them business it is hard given my budget. Pricing the coin is very difficult because of the small number graded and the rarely sell (I have seen a few outrageously priced ones on EBay but never a sale).

Some nice looking coins Rob, I don't understand how they grade some of them though, I mean the circulated coins are very old & worn I get it but they can't give you a break with a straight grade once in a while.

Been waiting for this one for awhile. Another awesome video on the subject of grading! While I love the artwork on SLQ's and Walkers, The buffalo nickel, to me , is the most artistic of them all. The portrait of the Native American in MS shows all the cracks and eddies of a face that has been through a lot. It's amazing how they got that on a coin! You seemed to be pretty on with the grading, Rob. I'm a little perplexed how one mark on a coin makes an AG grading not valid. Isn't that what an AG coin is all about? A lot of wear?

Yeah, wear is ok but not scratches, damage or cleaning.

Problem with submitting coins you bought in 90% is many will not strait grade due to “roll marks.” Damage to surface from counting machines (on uncirculated coins.) I sent in some beautiful Washington Quarter from the ‘40’s and late ‘30’s. And they all got details graded.

So umm, what’s the average timeframe for waiting for coins to be back from coin grading. I sent a foreign gold coin of mine off for grading through my local pcgs dealer back in like august of last year, and I haven’t gotten nothing back about it 😂😭

Great video, overall pretty good results for the grades considering it could have been much worse, especially because many of these coins are pretty much break even on the cost to authenticate/grade. I will say that for whatever reason I can hear audio of someone talking in the background (Could maybe be Charlani?) for the whole duration of the video pretty much.
