I agree with the subscribers that keep all star notes, I've only started looking for them about a year ago and I have only found TWO!! The crazy thing is some time in the first half of last year I watched a video of someone searching through notes and looking for star notes, so I went to look in my wallet and I had 9 bills in my wallet and TWO OF THEM where star notes!! I have yet to find one since! I'm guessing I've looked at about 600 to 700 notes since!! Kinda crazy that the only 2 star notes I have are from looking at the 9 bills in my wallet and finding TWO and not a single one since!! Have a GREAT Day!!!!

Nice to see you searching some bills. I always check everything I get change and all. I'll be with my friends and they get change back they automatically let me look at it for them even tho they don't care they just get tired of me saying "Let me see you change" I think they get annoyed but get stoked when I find something good for them. They say they will keep it but I dunno.

Hi Rob, love these videos, really makes my time much more fun staying at home, it would be interesting to see you hunt different currencies as they have different numbering schemes, for example here in Hong Kong notes are numbered with 2 letters followed by 6 digits. I personally never got any straps to hunt, but I have always been keeping an eye on fancy serial numbers in day to day transactions and it turned out well so far, I got 3 notable finds that I'm keeping in a folder (BB484848, RR131313 and DN678900), any ideas on what I should do with them, and keep up with the videos :)

@noheadshotbear42544 жыл бұрын
Roy Morcos it is considered an error but it’s not worth a premium due to it being a common error. An error that has a number much higher than the others would be valuable though.

What’s the difference between being printed on notes or sheets?
@RobFindsTreasure4 жыл бұрын
The LONG answer taken from mycurrencycollection.com: Sheet Print Type - Used BEFORE Cutting Let's say something went wrong before the cutting process occurred - like a sheet gets folded, over-inked, or a serial number mismatch. If the BEP's automated systems catch the error, that individual sheet would be pulled out of the stack and replaced with a single sheet of star notes. The stacks would then continue down the production line and eventually get cut, packed, wrapped, and shipped to a Federal Reserve Bank. These are the rarer of star notes. They are typically printed in lower quantity - usually 640,000 notes or less per run. Depending on the mistake they are use to replace, one sheet or a few sheets might be used at a time. The stacks of non-mistake notes and replacement sheets continue down the line and eventually get cut into 100-packs. This causes these star notes to enter circulation much more randomly, and are much more difficult to find in bulk. It's impossible to find 100 consecutive examples in a row. Regular Print Type - Used AFTER Cutting Star notes can also be used to replace damaged notes after the sheets are cut into 100-packs. If a BEP operator (or computer) sees a damaged pack of notes, it would be set aside for destruction and replaced with a 100-pack of star notes. These star notes are considered the "regular" print type. It's not difficult to see that these are far less rare. These star note runs are printed in much larger sizes - typically 1.28 million notes up to the maximum run size of 3.2 million. Many of these 100-packs of star notes are found by collectors and put on eBay for sale.

So, im seeing here at 10:46 it looks like you found a 1993 bill but didnt really look at it for anything. its probably just me but i always keep the older ones just because. not unlike keeping the pre 60s jeffersons which as far as i can tell, most collectors do, while most of them arent particularly special, theyre just old and so they are kept. im just wondering if you didnt exactly notice it or if theres just nothing special about the 93 bills or if im just seeing things.

Rob, I know this doesn't meet the categories shown at your listed website, but I have an ambigram (but it's not a palindrome) bill. The serial number is the same upside down as it is right-side up: 68500589. I like these because not all the numbers can be used, and they have to be in a very particular order when they are used. I also have one with my birthdate, although the segments are out of order 04 1966 22
