LOL (Also consider, the original recording was from 1990 and then a remix was created for the 1993 release). Regardless, her pipes, passion and soul are exceptional. No, black people. Black culture didn't create the Chicago house scene, (gay) black people did. And this song, from the drums to the synths is 100% Chi house. Of course it was popular everywhere but this sounds very different from NYC house or techno. The pure soul of this song speaks of a much longer tradition than the few years it banged in the clubs. Just like Latin Freestyle had as much New Order influence as it dud from Shannon, this owes and pays homage to plenty that came before jt.
