He’s still sings from his true heart and emotion on this song. He lost his soul when he f*cked up with Paula Patton and then went out of his way to hurt her for not staying. Smh, his music changed, his voice changed, him being genuine changed…like everything 😢. Honestly, he’s trying to fake the funk, but he’s still singing that song to her from his heart. Watch listen to how he starts the song, that was the real him for a hot second. From the start until about the 0:47 mark, when the girl yelled out. He tightened up, pulled back and remembered where he was. Then from the 1:13 mins on, he plays it off and jumps back into being phony. This is why they call it “Soul Music” because we can feel your soul when you sing it. True souls can tell the difference.
