The flag as a symbol of Patriotism has been appropriated by a Nationalist movement. Those who fly it as a symbol and in service of Nationalism do it disservice. It retains its "glory"and in time will return as a symbol of and for the people when the country is united once more not through force but through ideals like mutual integrity, dignity and respect. Telling someone to "love it or leave it" misses the point. People don't fly it because they don't feel like they belong to "that" group. The aggressive loud trucks flying huge flags around, guns guns guns... it's militant... and certainly not Patriotic. The perception is Nationalist, and I don't think they care the difference. Mussolini is the difference. imho
