The entire cast and crew from LOTR went to the fan party instead of the "Official" afterparty. I think it was Billy Boyd who said that the plan originally was just for them to show up with the Oscars, thank the fans for all their support and whatnot, mingle for a bit,and then head over to the official one; but they ended up having so much fun at the fan party that they decided to stay.

@northwestkiwi7742 Жыл бұрын
I was at that party (The Return of the One Party). When PJ, Fran, Philippa and heaps of others went up on stage and showed us their Oscars, it was like a wall of gold. Dom sang lead with a band while Elijah stood in the wings with a drink and ciggie in hand. Billy got there way after the others arrived as he got lost on the way there, but he grabbed a guitar and sang a song with the line, "Ah Jean, Ah Jean, you let me get lucky with you!" Ian McKellan did get to the venue but only when security was trying to close it down. Someone saw him begging to be let on stage briefly to say hi to the fans but security wasn't having it. :(

It was a sad day indeed when he passed. I've got a mental health condition and I can really relate and understand why he ended his life. When you battle mental health long term for as many years as he did it really wears you out and drains your energy and motivation to fight and get better and when you have constant relapses every so often it's hard to find the stength to keep going because it really turns your life upside down. Then throw in that disease that was basically gonna wear him down even more and much worse from the sounds of it poor guy. I just hope he's at peace and at least there's alot of funny videos of his to watch I love his stand up comedy it always perks me up and makes me 😂.
