LEGO City Update - Refrigerated Train Wagon MOC 🚆🏹

Someday my Cargo Train will be so long it's chasing its own tail. Not so much a train going around the loop as "a gap in the train" going around the loop, haha. The next link in that future behemoth is a Refrigerated Wagon carrying fresh fish produce from Brick Nottingham to the rest of Europe. I do hope it's secure though. I've heard strange rumours of whole loads of fish going completely missing!

I think a cattle car would be a great addition to the cargo train. It would go along with the farm, and you can add window openings to see the cows inside.

@@m.m.3242 and I think the best way to do so is to pitch a design for a LEGO city set that's in the forest to LEGO ideas maybe having it another forest fire brigade set long with the obvious fire vehicle and the firefighter character I think the object in question that's on fire could be a tree or a log with what appears to be a burrow and that's where the Hedgehog could live

Well there do exist outside cooling units for these refrigerator cars, so maybe it's a very big cooler to keep the fish completely fresh! (Or to make the penguins feel comfortable 😁)

The raised bit on some wagons is because that's how it was in foreign countries, mainly Germany. Probably to provide more of a view but here in the UK we have a limited loading gauge (the space that trains have to fit through, tunnels, bridges etc) so we have duckets on brake vans, bits that stick out just enough for the guard to see both ways.

The refrigerated truck 375 was probably one of my very first sets - I still have the doors! Did you know that the front axle could be rotated? The top and bottom plates through the cabin had a hole where an axle fitted through it and you used the LEGO printed brick to turn the truck. Very nice build Robin!

Instead of having to add engine upon engine, you could make some kind of carriage that goes behind the three engines and looks like regular cargo but is actually another powered section

Excellent MOC of the refrigerated wagon Robin. Great way to incorporate some really old but cool printed doors into your cargo train. I absolutely love the penguins that ate all the fish. They remind me of the penguins of Madagascar animated show. They were always getting into mischief as well. Also like the train cam. Busting through the train shed doors was cool. Great video and awesome work my friend.

The train trailer looks good. I think that's good about the air conditioning. The penguins have the best of life. just have to wait until a new charge arrives. Smarter than the seagulls. Well there is no more fish for Derby :-)

Like many I love it. Looks interesting. Also the penguins were funny. I feel old though. When you commented on the doors age I realized that's how old my old sets are. I saw a couple of ideas for diverse train cars. What about a take on the mission impossible idea. (Super secret police - insert sound effect). Could be funny- especially with a banner

Another great addition to the snowpiercer! Maybe you can place some white 1x1 modified plates (tooth) to give an impression of ice inside the refrigerator. We can’t wait to see more wagonscin rhe future. Also, the parisian restaurant’s chimney has been knocked off 😁

Since you're planning on adding another engine to the freight train, I would suggest you add it to the middle of the train to distribute some of the power rather than just having it all at the front!

I love that penguin scene. I have an idea, you don't have to like it or addapt it but there was a TV show called "The penguins from madagascar" i guess. I don't know if it's a thing in the UK, but me growing up in Germany absolutely loved this show as a kid. It was about four penguins going on secret missions it was always fun to watch and they were absolutely fascinated by fish! You could limit the amount of penguins to four and give them dynamite or a crowbar to represent one of their misssons stealing fish. Just an idea, maybe you like it!

That box isn't as far off as you might think. These days less so, but some years ago a cooling unit was usually fit on the outside of refrigerated train cars. And with it not sticking up much above the roof I wouldn't have thought of it as the classic break man box but just a cooling unit. Also the vents on the roof seem quite alright as well. Usually you would only have one or the other (as in either an outside mounted cooling unit or a cooling unit inside of the roof with vents on the roof) but it's Lego and a little overkill is fine. And since you told me not to explain how refrigerators work I will refrain from doing so. ;)

You can add a second motor in the blue locomotif if you still have the motor and the black 9v cable of the green train and you have set 8886 or 8871 That's cheaper than a powerfuctions motor and a switch
