SOOO beautiful!!! (Just FYI:. Two of my nieces are in cosmetology school now... They heard me "singing your praises" for so long that they decided to go to school to get their licences so they could do nails themselves. Both are extremely artistic. Now they are following in your huge footsteps. 😀). Oh, and 🐾🐾🐕😘💕💜!! 😀. Have a great, Sunshiny day!

Tips for anyone new. I started watching Robin 2-3 yrs ago or more and has changed my thoughts that I could never do this. If u have gel polish, try to do the base colors in gel. #1 gel wipe off solution/alcohol make it easy to wipe off mistakes with the acrylic paints and has no effect on the gel #2 I use regular polish if I dont have the acrylic paint color and remove any mistakes with non acetone remover and my base gel is fine so I can keep making mistakes. #3 calligraphy pen and air brush ink is a great way to do faces or tiny details that I just cant seem to do with a brush. Air brush ink is more than paint but easy to find and use. The pen feels more natural in my hands and the ink is pigmented well so I don't have to try and go over tiny lines and it flows so smooth. The ink wipes off with alcohols/gel wipe off solution.Some of my mistakes have had the best compliments. So keep trying get it one on Robin inspired groups to have a design to copy every month. It keeps u practicing your skills, the leader or leaders of the group usually picks the designs so it's easy to get started and the ones that I personally am involved with on Instagram are super supportive and positive that you feel like every creation is the best ever that you've done. Thank you again Robin you truly are an inspiration to all of us who want to create and had nowhere to learn so thank you very much
@robinmosesnailart6 жыл бұрын
you are so welcome and thank you for posting the tip for gel users. the same can happen using 70% alcohol on regular polish. if you go to higher concentrations of alcohol, it dims the polish, but topcoat brings it back to life. i have a collab group on instagram, but would love one on facebook so if anyone is interested in helping to get it going, email me robinmosesnailart@gmail.com and I will do my best to get it started but it is very difficult for me to work on the groups etc and do the videos too. :D sending love to you sonia!!!!

Oh the thanks goes all to you. I have commented before about how I started watching you but long story shortish lol, I took care of my dad during the day so my mom could work I also work third shift in a nursing home to pay the bills. Two weeks before he passed away I seen his decline and knew he was going to need more care so I went PRN so I can focus more of my time to care for him when he passed away I went from having lots to do to nothing to do is very depressing I've always been into my nails never considered myself an artist I can't draw a straight line straight. After watching your videos and practicing it kept my mind busy but I also enjoyed seeing my progress. I felt joy and considering my dad was an amazing creative person I felt still connected to him since our relationship was creating furniture and him teaching me all his different wood machines. So it helped me through a very sad time on top of that I've learned a skill that I can work as much as little as I want to
@manfredfails74856 жыл бұрын
The only way I could learn was with gel.

i understand and if i had started later, i would use it too. it took me 2 years to master acrylic and i worked like mad to get that skill down, so its kind of hard to change. i figured (after deep thoughts) that teaching acrylic or gel or anything like that online would feel wrong to me. i paid my student loan for almost 10 years and to post info on some pretty harmful chemicals seems wrong to me....there are so many products around the world and i dont want to be responsible for them so i just focus on the art, i know its safe and i know how much it has brought to my life. like you, i lost so many loved ones in the midst of youtube and believe teaching the art i was kind of taking for granted beforehand got me through a tremendous depression. and again, i am sharing here after just having surgery. i believe something very magical is in between the layers of this painting somewhere because it always seems to save me. i am just so grateful i can share it around the world in this medium. its crazy frustrating and also crazy magical....i am blessed and i send my love to you.....i am so happy i can aide in comforting such tragedies and so honored at the same time. i am truly sending you love today. thank you for these comments.
@robinmosesnailart6 жыл бұрын
if i had started later, i would too. lots of places in the world dont have gel and only regular polish so i keep my tutorials as easy for everyone as possible. you can use all of this on gel and then just topcoat with a clear gel overlay....it works the same :D

Oh, wow! Love this so much! Stunning and a real hand grabber! It is really current but not "trendy"! Everything from the coffin nail shape, the matte finish, the colors and design all come together beautifully! How long does it take to come up with a design like this for a client? How long of an appointment do you allot for consultation and design? So happy to see you again!
@robinmosesnailart6 жыл бұрын
In the video I think it shows the inspiration I used but it was just something I saw in a magazine. I saw the colors and translated that into a nail design for fall. Once I see the design I start breaking it down into how I'm going to execute it. This one broke down easily for me. I then choose how many nails I am going to design and a lot myself 15 minute intervals. For example, this design takes me 30 minutes to complete without filming so that would be an extra two 15 minute intervals and then I charge per 15 minutes. Some designs take an extremely long time and do not translate well. This makes clients late, other clients waiting get frustrated and mad at you Etc so planning the design is essential. If this design was hard to break down I would only put it on two or three nails for example. I hope this makes sense but each design comes at a cost and your time is number one. Being late will lose you more clients then doing well on one design and making one person happy and it is the balance of all of those things that makes a great Nail Tech. I hope everyone is reading this LOL! It was a great question and I hope I answered as detailed as possible
