Usopp is a mix of uso, the Japanese word for lie, and Aesopp, with the obvious reference to The Boy Who Cried Wolf. To add to this, in the manga and anime he has a long Pinocchio-like nose, and his birthday is April Fool's Day.

If someone has eaten a Devil Fruit, they will absolutely tell you, lol. Some people have just trained to be super strong or they have something else.

I feel like there where three missteps in these first few episodes: 1. Having Shanks be dry and in a boat when scaring off the Lord of the Coast. B: Making it look like Devil Fruits only require "a few splashes" of sea water to disabale them, when it's standing water at knee height or higher. III) Not having someone point out Kuro's speed was something he trained to do, which would have furthered the idea that not all special abilities are Devil Fruits.

Additionally on Kuros speed, he is fast, but he can't see accurately moving at full speed, which is reinforced in the live action by him not going for the kill with his movements and always stopping before attacking with his claws. Wouldn't do him any good to stab a stone wall moving at those speeds. Definitely some cartoon logic as well, but it's not as ridiculous as it might seem.

Kuro doesn't have a devil fruit, despite what it seems. In this world, humans are naturally super human, and there's techniques they can develop due to this. That super speed is such an example of this.

The game they're playing is Go, an ancient game very popular in east Asia. I'd gather at one point it had the same popularity in Japan and China as chess has in Europe. Though nowadays chess might be more popular worldwide. In simple terms, you play either white or black and place a game piece anywhere at the board. Unlike in checkers or chess, in Go you place the game pieces on the crossroads of the squares, not in the squares themselves. This is usually the biggest hint in media the game they play is Go. Concerning gameplay, you want to surround enemy pieces. If you fully surround them, you score some points. All the while, your enemy is trying to surround your pieces. Concerning technology, it has taken a way longer time for a computer to beat the best Go player than to beat the best Chess player, because of all the possibilities of placing your piece anywhere on the board.

There is another reason for computers to be worse at Go than Chess and that's simple popularity. Chess bots are very optimized, because there are more people working on it. Granted, your answer is also true, but Go bots would be further if it had as much hours put behind it as Chess bots have.

It's so refreshing to see newcommers to the One Piece world! Seeing his thoghts about whos comingback, whos not, if someone is atraitor and what not, I hope you enjoy the ride cuz its a roller coaster with lots of loopdiloops

Robinoyo, here's some explanations without spoiling. :D they're basically thr basic knowledge. a devil fuit user CAN'T eat another devil fruit as it'd un alive the person, Shanks, kuro, garp, mihawk don't have a power, they just trained very very hard including their eyes, it'll be explained (how and what it is) in the anime, but people without fruit abilities, CAN train themselves to do thing's that most people won't be able to do.

Just to clarify - Arlong hasn't eaten a devil fruit either. That's his race - he's a fishman. And so is everyone on their crew. There are fishmen and merfolk (mermaids and mermen) in this world, merfolk who are human from the waist up and fish from the waist down and can breathe in water and air on their own, and fishmen (or fish folk since yes, women can be fishmen as well) who have gills and two seperate breathing systems and fish-like features (i.e. webbed hands) but walk on two legs. The average fishman is at least three times stronger than the average human (emphasis on the word 'at least') but Arlong is stronger than most (though there are two whom he'd never beat in a fight), and their skin is much tougher than human skin is as well. Fishmen are much faster (at least five times faster) swimmers than humans are, though flying fish are faster than them. But merfolk are the fastest swimmers in the world. That's why......no, no spoilers.

28:05 Yeah, when Usopp said that Luffy meeting Yasopp was cool, Usopp looked kinda hurt when he said it. I mean, Yasopp was hanging out with Luffy the day his wife died. I would say, in terms of pacing, we received all of the necessary info in the season 1 OPLA that we received by the same point in the manga (which I think was around 100 chapters). So, we may be able to catch up to where we are now in 10 seasons of the live action at the same rate, but I'm not sure how many chapters they'll cover per season either.

Apparently Seasons 2 & 3 will be filmed back-to-back and a number of significant castings have been confirmed. But we don’t know if Netflix will give them more episodes in the future; I personally would hope for 12-13 episodes to cover the next big arc, but we might get no more than 10 if we even get an upgrade And that’s if we’re only getting it contained to one season, because I don’t think they’ll just cut the smaller stories that lead up to it IF they can help it (especially as stuff that comes back far later in a big way). I do know that if they’d gotten 10 episodes, they would have adapted the Loguetiwn arc in the last two. If they had the budget from the start and even more than that they perhaps would’ve paced a bit slower, but Matt Owens and Steven Maeda have been very considerate and careful with what they can do and what they can’t manage.

Shanks doesn't have devil fruit powers. What you saw was a different power system. The arm was bitten off the first time the seabeast lunged at him.

My one criticism about this series is they did my boy Usopp dirty a little. I’ll explain more in another episode. They did find the best guy to play him though and got quite alot right with him. They just… well you’ll understand when you see the anime

The last we saw Buggy in ep.2, he was more than just his head. He also had both hands and both feet, which was hilarious looking. His appendages were probably what allowed him to get back the rest of his body parts.⬅ Helmeppo's hair cut wasn't his fault (at least the current one). Zorro did that. 🐶 @16:47: "This dude has got you in his ... claws."'🙂 The admiral and Colby were playing "Go", simultaneously one of the simplest and most difficult strategy games there is. I think it is of Chinese origin.⬅ The structure of this season is essentially 4 two-episode mini-arcs.

Kuro hasn't eaten a Devil Fruit, he's just that fast. People can train themselves to be incredibly superhuman in this series. That being said, Kuro doesn't have the best control over his speed, which is why he can't attack that fast and has to rely on deception and distraction.

It’s also heavily theorized that Kuro’s speed is a technique that isn’t explored until the Water 7/Enies Lobby arcs but an unrefined version of it that he can’t fully control.
