Great for shoulder comfort, this hip carry variation creates a double layer over your shoulder which can be really comfortable. It also keeps the panel high up over baby offering slightly more support than the easy/basic hip carry variation.
This variation also brings the knot to the front or under baby's bottom which can be easier to tie than behind you.
Ultimately there are lots of ways to tie a half buckle and this is just one variation and the basic easy hip carry works just as well. which one is best for you is going to come down to personal preference!
