Perfect video. To the point! It took me 2 weeks to learn how to play this without glancing at the rule-book every second! It's that complex. But once you've got the hang of it, boy are you in for quite a ride. Robinson Crusoe is one of the best survival-strategy-deck building board games out there. Also, why don't you have a gazillion views is beyond me! There are thousands upon thousands of board games out there. Browsing for the one you will be spending your hard - earned cash and spending your valuable time on, can be a worse nightmare than looking for movies on Netflix. So this 3 minute board game review is a genius idea. Liked & Sub'd!

Well, we've only been doing this for 2 months, and I guess it takes a while for people to find out about it. The more games we cover, the more people see the vids and subscribe. And yeah, RC is a great survival game, not my favorite though. That's "this war of mine".

There might be one, check online. If you live in Central Florida, you could check out The Cloak and Blaster. Cool place. Their menu is called "The Player's Handbook", gyros are "Bags of Holding", Chicken Tenders are "Chocobo Tenders", etc. Oh, downstairs is themed after "Lord of the Rings" and upstairs is themed after "Star Wars".

Do you have a local game store? A lot of them will teach you how to play games. They usually teach you for free.

I honestly wish there was some sort of Robinson Crusoe group that weekly wanted to play! My husband things it's too tedious remembering all the steps but I LOVE the game. I especially love the THRILL of being a Hunter and becoming mortally wounded when I turn over an animal card! LOL.

Anybody considering to backup Robinson Crusoe - Collector's Edition?
@3MBG3 жыл бұрын
Not me personally, i have most of the game already and still have a whole unplayed expansion
@Shayden523 жыл бұрын
I was considering to back it as well and even had a pledge locked in at one point, but after watching a couple of reviews the game looks too complicated for my personal taste. I prefer games that are quick to learn and hard to master. This one seems like a nightmare to learn and re-learn each time I want to get it back on the table.
@BobbyJuno3 жыл бұрын
The pledge manager opened up on Gamefound today and I'm $217 in on a $45 game 😅 Its not everyday a game this renowned gets a collectors edition. That 4 mission tutorial developed by the same person behind the Jaws of the Lion intro, the additional companions and support items, that book of adventures which breaks down difficulty and target audience, a 44" playmat, and a layered player board made this all too good to pass up.

Have you tried Discover Lands Unknown? The only survival game we have played is Ravine which was really fun, but quite basic and luck driven.
@3MBG4 жыл бұрын
Nah, i skipped that due to the whole procedural generation thing, combined with it being competitive. Just seemed like it would produce a very unpolished experience
@weeschwee4 жыл бұрын
@@3MBG it does seem like a weird choice to do procedural customization. It's a turn off for sure. I thought the game had full co-op though.
@3MBG4 жыл бұрын
It was a weird combo if i recall, like perhaps it was co-op, but you couldn't really help each other or something. I forget
@weeschwee4 жыл бұрын
@@3MBG maybe so. I haven't looked into it too much because the overall reviews seem to say it missed the mark. One review I watched mentioned co-op and versus modes. I was under the impression that they were separate.

Pretty easily. It's not as good a Robinson Crusoe, but its a similar enough experience in many ways. I find it curious how vocal the haters of the game are. It's done "ok" on BGG

does anyone know of survival games like this but less complicated ? . post apocalyptic included
@3MBG4 жыл бұрын
Dead of winter & this war of mine, but those are both still pretty complex. The lost expedition is a lot less complex, but i didn't like it much. Sub Terra is kinda a survival game of sorts as well. That's about all i can think of
@benclarke59144 жыл бұрын
@@3MBG thanks for the recommendations ! ive checked em out ... dead of winter looks about bang on but too complex for now. lost expedition looks pretty good maybie a little bit simple. i really like the idea of having minimal resources to build, craft ect. also tricky / risky survival decisions with minimal tools, weapons or skills, also dealing with fatigue, injury levels, weather ect. i love real life survival theme as well as the very different post apocalypse theme. might have another look at "friday" and other post apocalypse but they seemed too player vs player for me. i'm new to board gaming, thanks again, your channel is great ! any more suggestions from anyone would be welcome.

It really isn't. Under the files section in BGG is a breakdown of all the steps and things to do during the day. With that handy it's a rather simple game.
