Excellent video, man! I wonder if a heat treated tool-steel shaft would keep those bad boys from breaking. I'm always interested in how to make the models we have available to us BETTER. Because the manufacturers aren't making a bunch of non-race vehicles like they did. So... if we can improve the reliability of what IS readily available... that's a good thing! Draco does some great things for HPI. There are others, too... I just pulled the top one on the list in my brain. I mean... I don't want to spend a grand to polish a turd... but 1994 reliability can certainly be improved upon, I think. Thank you for this!

Nice work on the make shift lathe for the shaft‼️ You are right, it is fun to mod stuff and it’s always good experience for a potential future projects - Just a wanted to mention, you can get a set of snap-ring pliers to help with the clip you had trouble with. Only a suggestion Thanks for the fun vid 🩷 I always love watching build videos. The trans looks nice and beefy now

Yeah I'm just a cheap a$$ instead of buying the snap pliers I ordered 17mm hexes for the revo. I should just order the proper tool but honestly I'm 35 and this is the 2nd time I've ever needed them. Thanks for watching 👀 you video was awesome today I love the 3.0 what a great engine

So this gear set is obviously meant for a T-Maxx 2.5 transmission, with the smaller IPS? The 3.3, at least the 4907 for sure used the same trans as the Revo. So would buying the Revo gear set work without modifying? I have a 4907 that I put the reverse in, and did alot of work to make it work really well

If you have reverse these gears will fit with no mods needed. I could have ordered that shaft but why spend more when I have a dremel
