I am a big believer in finding the way that works best and stick with it. I love math (through geometry, never understood trig) but whenever I try to help my public (and private) school friends I could not figure out how they are required to do the problems, I look at them and know how to solve it but they have to do it a specific way which to me is convoluted and adds like 5 extra steps. It is no wonder the school system is producing students who think they hate math, I probably would have too.

I grew up in Oregon and would of loved this. I was Ill prepared for what I sought to do in college and I worked really hard and the math was the biggest hang up.
