My favorite Maiden ballad. Singer here is Paul Di'Anno. He was singer on Maiden's first 2 albums, then came BRUCE Dickinson. Bass line is always prominent in Iron Maiden since Steve Harris, founder of Iron Maiden, is song writer for most songs.

If you want to go down the Iron Maiden rabbit hole there is plenty of material on 17 studio albums I've been listening to Maiden since 1983. Current singer Bruce Dickinson is one of the best in rock/metal. If you like story telling and guitar solos you will love Iron Maiden. Up the Irons! Songs I'd recommend are: Rime of the Ancient Mariner - From the poem of the same name by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (story about about an ocean voyage) Alexander the Great (About the story of Alexander the Great) Hallowed be Thy Name (about a man who is about to be put to death and what he goes through) The Prisoner (based on the UK television series that ran briefly in the late 1960’s) Run to the Hills (about the European arrival in America told from the perspective of both the oppressed Cree and the invading Anglo-Saxon soldiers) Aces High (about aircraft dog fighting between the British and German fighter pilots of WWII) Trooper (based on the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava 1854, which took place during the Crimean War) Where Eagles Dare (based on an Alistair Maclean novel, (1967), and film (1968) about a WWII rescue of an American general from a Nazi stronghold in the Bavarian Alps Flight of Icarus (loosely based on the ancient Greek myth of Icarus) To Tame a Land (the song relays the story of Paul Atreides, Paul Muad'Dib, from the book Dune by Frank Herbert) The Longest Day (about the WWII Normandy Invasion) Paschendale (about the Battle of Passchendale during WWI) That should give you plenty of material.
