Yes, because lower resolution can decrease the usage of GPU to get more fps. But also if you run with wide screen in not 16:9 resolution will result a stretched screen unless using keep ratio settings. Sorry if my grammer are weird, my first language is not English

your resolution is probably 1280x720 or 1920x1080 (or maybe even 2560x1440 or 3840x2160). if you enable this setting, it will go down to 640x480
