You might be laggy, it happens to me when i play with friends, since lag slows you down (this is why the game suggest 6+ graphics [no lighting glitches] and 60+ fps)

Why does the game automatically make you slide while walking fast? Also here’s a tip that works sometimes in a while : If you find that pink tentacle monster, quickly run into corner walls until you feel like clipping.
