Keep an eye on this old thing I made Timeline of future price floor updates. February-April 2024 Roblox forces the price floor of all ugc accessories to 50 robux. May-July 2024 Roblox updates the price floor of shirts, T-shirts, and pants to make them at least 25 Roblox. July-September 2024 The roblox community starts planning to mass quit roblox dubbed "The Robloxian revolution." October-December 2024 Plans go into motion, and roblox loses over half of active developers and around half of the active community. Future 2025/2026 Roblox loses players gradually due to boredom, and that causes developers to quit creating a snowball effect that kills the platform. Just a prediction.

You remember that mysterious November event? It was the unveiling of the full scope of immersive advertising. Immersive is a fancy word for ‘unblockable’. Ads in games, on boomboxes, in in-experience videos - none of these ads can be blocked and the modules will be locked to ads and gatekept hard based on DAU exposure. Investors were absolutely stoked with ‘immersive’ advertising. It was partly behind the end of user ads and high price of ads now is part of the gatekeeping. Catalog will get a similar hierarchy of exposure, hence the steep price gatekeeping. They want catalog items to be primarily walking ads for brand cohorts, and they especially don’t want brand cohorts to compete with Roblox in regards to the popularity and value of old limiteds (hence the allowance of devaluing their own limiteds through fakes.) When the switch happens, that’s when you will see the biggest catalog purge. Currently it is just making as much money as possible off of users before the purge.
