This game is heavily sound based, there’s only like two monsters that don’t require sound, that being the locker monsters and a monster you haven’t seen yet. All the rush variants make different noises when they pass you at different volumes, fake doors breathe, squiddles make noise when they’re angry, and looking behind you when you hear footsteps prevents an instakill.

Dont forget about eyefestation, parasites, and that locker actually requires hearing (you can hear breathing from it)

Fake doors can actually be identified without breathing because the number will spark if its fake.

@@Snorizard to add on to this, the real door in a dark room will not have glowing numbers, while the fake rooms do have glowing numbers. Also important to mention that both of these methods do not apply to the ridge

you should probably turn up your audio, this game has alot of things youre better off hearing coming. as for anglers, a few things: 1: you dont need to be in a locker, you just need to be out of its path in a place it cant see you, it doesnt see very far, so hiding in a side room/up or down a staircase/behind something can avoid anglers 2: theres a few variants of anglers Normal/blue= just rushes past,breaking the lights(surviving gave you the "every lung has its iron" achievement) Pinkie/pink:Doesnt really flicker the lights, you gotta keep an ear out for this one( gives "ready for anything") Froger/Brown/the one in your thumbnail: this one is the rebounding one, he always rebounds twice, so he'll always pass you 3x, basically just gotta avoid him the first time, get out of the locker, and listen for him as he comes back once he rebounds who knows how far back(gives "an ocean of blood") Grey/Blitz: i forgot how he works tbh, but hes the one that makes the really loud scream, you avoided him(hes the one that gove you "Oh") and finally theres Green/Chainsmoker(unironically what its called): this one is SLOW, and made to teach players to wait to step into the locker(your time in the locker is limited cause your character has cleithrophobia(fear of being trapped) so gets out of the locker after some time but chainsmoker spews green smoke everywhere which runs down that timer faster, meaning if you get in too early, it will catch you out of the locker cause youll get kicked out as it gets to you, essentially( his achievement is even called "good things come to those who wait" as for the doors, you basically figured it out, theres an audio and visual cue for "the good people" (the big monster behind the door) which is the breathing, the sign also sparks sometimes, and an even bigger tell on the wrong doors, is that in dark rooms, the fake ones will stay on, the real one is dark.
