Main Issues: 1. Took way too long to get all event items 2. Around 75% of the games for the event were too hard, lazy or straight up cash grabs to make them a ton of money 3. Event items hid behind a pay wall with the Gold track gamepass 4. Causing confusion for player base with limited time items and Infinite Egg 5. Some of event items don’t fit well on characters like the necklaces which they didn’t bother to fix.

Here’s some reasons i didn’t like the event 1: The lobby: don’t get me wrong. The lobby is fantastic but apparently they use the same model and style of the bloxy awards last year and didn’t even make their own original lobby. 2: The prizes/items. Most of the prizes look great but some of the items do not fit the blocky avatar but rather fitting rthro which no one cares about rthro. We got limited edition items that most of them cost alot of robux and should’ve been part of the track battle pass. Games: Roblox stated that we don’t have to play all 95 games to get the items but when the hunt realesed, guess what, we have to play all these games for the speacial item awards. Which takes days and days to complete it. Most of these games want players to stay the game for long like Snowboard obby and treasure hunt simulator. Even pay to win, There were few games that did great job like Doors,Pls donate and Piggy. Event: This event was brain rotting and even affected my brain to hurt a lot including my eyes. This was also a dev hunt and I don’t understand why they’re bringing back “Dev hunts” when Most people don’t even like it

MANY devs blindly port their games to console. There are a FEW cases of games being ported to console and having features that actually make them at least 90% playable. One case that I can think of is Find The Markers, of which added a semi-chat feature that lets you say stuff to get a marker(badge).

Let's be honest here. Nobody actually thought that this event was going to be any good. Who in the actual fuck will play 100 games to get five or six prizes? Most of the games were pretty shitty. Some of them were constant grinding hell holes that took hours to complete, and some of them took less than a minute to complete. Even the quests were very vague and had no soul to them, or at least 90% of them. It's no surprise that the majority of the community hated this event. If ROBLOX wanted to make a good event, they should not add 100 games to the event, make more prizes, put more soul into it, and actually find developers who want to make good games and not cash-grabbing simulators. But I just have low expectations for ROBLOX even making a good event.

MY IDEA FOR A PERFECT ROBLOX EVENT: 1. It's an Egg Hunt, but a really good one 2. Partially a dev hunt, but you can still get plenty of eggs in the main event hub 3. The event hub would be a decently fleshed out adventure with ORIGINAL assets (not reused from other events) 4. The other games that would be part of the event would have a lot more prep time to create their own eggs and custom assets themselves 5. A chunk of the actually GOOD games from "The Hunt" would probably return here 6. This event would be a sort-of retake of the 2019 Egg Hunt, where some older games (ex: Doomspire, Prison Life or others) would get eggs, basically making people explore the older games of Roblox, but there would be newer games as well (about 50/50 balance between them) 7. If you collected enough eggs you would get access to a final boss, that, once defeated, would grant you one or two special items 8. There would also be exclusive items you could get from collecting a certain amount of eggs for each, like in The Hunt (clearly be a lot more of these limited items, and very few of these would be paid, unlike The Hunt) 9. A potential reward for collecting every single egg 10. Mobile app integration that doesn't suck and lag horribly 11. The items would have to work properly on every single type of avatar 12. The eggs are actually pretty creative and they're now animated (definitely an improvement) And finally, (this one is important!) 13. New games that enter the event would be quality-checked HEAVILY (ex. too many Robux purchases in your face/boring gameplay/grindy as hell/severe lack of moderation means you're out) Anyone wanna see an event like this? I think my biggest issue is that you have 2 weeks to finish all 95 games. Sure, that's sounds like a long time, but when there are 95 games and most of those games are hard grind quests, the time range is too short. 3 weeks or a month would have work.

I finish literally 2 days ago and it definitely took me 2 weeks just to do it fully because I was at first doing 5 games per day then I realized that the event was gonna end sooner, so I had to push myself doing more games then usual which obviously killed my energy. At least I got all items in the end but I would've definitely prefer we gotten more time to finish the event, along with developers who could've used more time. Heck, they could've delayed the whole event to April or even May to give extra time. It wasn't an EGG Hunt theme anyways, so it shouldn't matter much.

When you mentioned it felt rushed I definitely agree with you there. I've played WCUE (Warrior Cats Ultimate Edition) since it's Beta days and the creators of that game try and go all out for their events. Christmas has an entire worldbuilding map with a whole new culture of cats, the Beta ended with one big epic destruction of the old map, and Halloween often has puzzles or a mystery you have to solve with some lore about an evil force or smthn like that. For this, it felt like the devs had to last minute plant some eggs around the map and just reuse the Christmas map. The WCUE egg hunt was fun but it didn't feel like it was something in-themed that I'm used to from WCUE devs who will go all out with their events.

for me, even though people consider 50 too much, 30-50 games is the sweet spot. You dont feel like the event is over in a matter of seconds, and you dont feel like its too long. But even for a person like me who is on the internet too much, 100? nope. If you dont want to give a prize for every game, at the very least dont put huge gaps between the prizes. So if the next prize sucks, i wont feel like im going through hell to get something that doesnt even look good, ill just be unhappy with the prize. Also, some extra things to do in the lobby would be nice. (all of this is of course my opinion, im not gonna act like im spitting straight facts lol)

I am with the group of people who got the welcome badge and earned none of the prizes in the hunt. I honestly was disappointed with the number of prizes there were and seeing how it was just a simple dev hunt with a battle pass... I just couldn't get myself to do the dev hunt. I just knew many developers would not put any effort in their hunts and would take a long time to complete. I know having A HUNT is better than no hunt but this is just underwhelming... Metaverse champions was better than this and that was a dev hunt as well.

When you said that devs mostly had like 1 Or 2 weeks only to create a fun experience it makes sense why some couldn't put in effort because of lack of time. However different can be said about the pathetic cashgrab games included. They didn't put in effort and cared more about the users joining or the items they provided like the gamepasses just to make a profit. However games like arsenal, doors, and other good games did put in effort and tried their best to get as much as they could. This is why roblox needs to start reminding their devs 5 to 4 months before the event actually starts so they have enough time to actually get something good out for the event.

Absolutely agreed! The amount of greed, frustration and amount of complication was ridiculous and also was indeed rushed and so money hungry, love how they also picked other games like blade ball and murderers vs sheriffs which is a copy of MM2 and many other games being a copy of their originals. The items however were again rushed, I think if there was a delay it would have been better as the longer the wait, the better the quality of the event.

I joined The Hunt and was immediately overwhelmed with all the games and didn't even attempt it. I had so much fun playing epic minigames egg hunt update though and actually had fun getting the eggs. I hope roblox listens to the community and changes how they've done events in recent times.

@@oostrich yeah, the only games that participated in the hunt that i might still play after it are: Steep steps (i loved the landscape, complexity, teamwork, all of it was PERFECT) Need more friends (i loved the Hunt mission, it was like a fever dream) Deadly decisions (first game to hype me up) Toilet Tower Defense (no joke, i've played this one before) Military Tycoon (i loved how you can conquer fortress buildings, and maybe War Tycoon is interesting too) Undead Defense Tycoon (forgot i used to play it in the past) Death Ball (i loved the bossfight and i seem to be a natural player too) obby but you're in a bike (i got a cool bike)

I hated how there was no standard for how long it should take to get each badge, some badges took me 10 minutes or less while one game i played it took me almost an hour to level up enough to even have access to the quest. Honesty if the events are gonna be like this from now on i wish they would just not do them anymore

I think roblox should do both, Egg hunts and Dev hunts, Lemme explain. For Egg hunts I think they should make them like 2013, 2017-2018 and have them around spring like they usually do. But for Dev hunts, I think they should do those either during the Winter with like 10-20 games or a long 1-2 month long summer hunt with ~20-30 games. Each game would contain 3-4 prizes and would be better for roblox and the community. If roblox chose to move the dev hunts to the summer or the winter, more people would be able to play and complete them because everybody is off from school. Ofc every suggestion talked about in the video should be mentioned like the summer hunt being similar to the egg hunt 2019 where half of the event could be the game-hopping dev hunt while the other half could be original, new content.

As someone who gruelled through 50 games in one day (I only did 50 in the last 2 weeks so I had to lock in to get my accesories), this event was honestly really bad. Literally every game was garbage with a exception of few which I can't even remember becuase I probably played through all the good ones early on. I really do hope Roblox puts more quality control on the next event, all this event did was cause a lot of pain due to nearly 80% of games just making their game really shit and long to get premium payouts. For gods sake one of them literally ended early and didn't bother to fix it (it was a club game or something, their excuse was that they just had no reason and instead of putting back in, gave a bs response of 'We're not sure when we'll add it back' along of the lines of that.) If I had to rate the hunt: -60 Poor quality control and drastically more bad games than good -20 Not enough prizes for the amount of effort +10 For at least allowing a 5 game gap incase of really bad games (That club one for example, literally could've soft locked last day players if it wasn't done beforehand) +5 The good few games were REALLY good. -65 points is obviously pretty bad. I just hope the next event is better with more quality control.

Roblox literally just took what the community already dislikes then made it 100x times worse. They also had the AUDACITY to claim they were “just testing the waters”, its such an obvious damage control/ PR move after getting so much backlash for producing a disorganised, cashgrabby and terrible event. Its like whoever was involved in making this event did NOT learn anything from the past, either that or did absolutely no research as to what the player base wants. This was a pathetic comeback for events and I really doubt Roblox would listen to the community longer than a couple months. Its too disingenuous and suspicious.

I agree with the limited accesory being teased as free thing. I had a hunch the commando and other items wouldn't be free because it was said on the event page that there were gonna be daily limited items available for robux. I believed this was referring to the commando and wings (and all items that were teased but weren't on the battle pass) and I joined a server and told everyone what I thought. And pretty much nobody believed me saying "all blue items are free". So yeah I do think people were misled 😅

A lot of issues happened within the first time releasing 1. Few badges were bugged or too difficult to obtain which made the devs nerf or fix them. (Except Fruit battlegrounds) 2. Few games barely told you where to go or what to do. 3. Some games were not beginner friendly to players who never played that game before causing hours of grinding. 4. A lot of games didn't make their hunt badge obtainable in private servers basically forcing you into a public server. 5. PVP games were difficult due to players easily camping spawn areas or try hards constantly killing the mood. 6. A lot of the Hunt games had the same mechanics or similar ones. For ex. Military tycoon had you collecting crates around the map while War tycoon had you collecting crates around the town in the middle of the map. Don't get me wrong, a lot of the games did a good job but it still needed a huge fix. I'm glad that some of these games didn't do what games did in the 2020 dev hunt.

i tried really hard to get into it, just to explore what kind of games there are in this day and age, but i couldn't be more disappointed with this. majority of the games were trash right from the get-go, so i was picking and choosing which games to go for, but some the games i did choose were so boring that i just couldn't be bothered to finish them. i miss pre-2019 when games were actually interesting (for the most part).

i was so amped for this, thinking that i'll finally have something cool to do on roblox, but no, it was all just grind. and it was impossible to get anything cool if you had any sort of life outside of roblox. eventually i got sick irl and decided to just give up on it since i didnt feel like farming certain games or racking my brain on how to get badges in others instead of just resting and actually having a good time playing other things. i would honestly take the lower quality prizes from older events that you could get pretty easily (and actually had fun quests behind them) over semi-cool prizes like these with absurd tasks.

I also think the event layout they had from monthly events with 6 items in 3 games, some with relatively difficult quests, and you get a grand prize if you got all 6. Some events did this well with events like Hallows eve 2017 with one of the 3 games being specifically made for the event and you needed to finish the game to get 2 of the items. Giant events like the hunt and egg hunts should exclusively be a spring event imo.
