To be honest, these endings that even if you complete the objetive you still get pnwed by the monster is kinda smth, knowning that the kid died and is just reviving these memories while you are freeing his soul is kinda a sad ending/good ending.

It's like your sharing his burden/reliving the night the kid died is pretty sad. But given the lore of the game and the monster overall just make it that its impossible to survive the monster hunting.

I think Residence Massacre is better than Weird Strict Dad. Because, in Weird Strict Dad you have to do the same thing in each chapter, just the map changes. But in Residence Massacre, every night and minigame is designed different and not boring. Please don't blame me, that's just my opinion.
