This story is so meaningful I learned too that, Friendship is a sacrifice and anyone can be a hero like Joey. Joey did bad things in the past and he regets doing that. My advice for you is to think before you say or do it. you don't have to be a bad person to everyone else or something bad might happen like Caleb or Luis. I love stories that has a meaning.
