going on a ramble here but what really amazes me is how the game went from being a maze game (like you were just brought to a maze and told "lol do these mazes with a scary hat lady chasing you haha") to a wonderfully articulated horror game with a strong and well written storyline. i think that these 5 months were well deserved really, the amount of effort put into this with such a short timespan is astonishing, and with such an upgrade from the basic cinematic transitions, it makes the result all the more great. from the confusing gameplay to the unclear instructions before, this is really a rollercoaster of a game. the way they managed to COMPLETELY turn and change the previous scenery into something so different yet familiar is truly amazing. how they managed to start new and fresh all while keeping the same gist as before is actually art (the concept of the mimic being based off jp urban legends). before, the game was simply using stereotypes of these urban legends, and now? they've created their own storyline and concept all while adding aspects of jp culture into the mix (the familiar jp household, the kimonos, the elements of other jp urban legends put into one...). i love how much progress the game has made, and even i, who normally finds most roblox horror games comical, this update leaves me **actually** scared, and i can **actually feel** the suspense and the adrenaline as you run around and away from what you don't understand. i love it. i've been a horror fanatic for so long so seeing things that are so well done makes me happy HIJDKSHF yeah all in all well done 2 mimic devs i hope u all r enjoying watching the active player count increase by a ton AHAHA

I agree with you. They've definitely come a long way. From repeatedly using the same concept, to a VERY well-made horror game. I'm not saying that the previous chapters were bad. Those chapters were amazing, it's just that, Book II is just.. well-made. I audibly gasped at the cut scenes in the beginning. I was literally questioning if I was still even looking at The Mimic. TLDR; The game's improved so much, I questioned if I was still even looking at the same game.

I have to say, Book II was super hard yet super cool for me. I kept getting stuck on the orb puzzle, but the way they portrayed “jealousy” as a monster was super cool. Like, giant snake lady that stares at you and is animated so well is amazing.

honestly, the designs of the monsters you face in this chapter or in general of book 2 is just amazing considering how book 1's designs were scary, but usually used with most of the items in the roblox catalogue. the jumpscares, too, have also changed a lot since book 1. in my opinion, book 1 was awesome, the jumpscares were also awesome but they didn't really scare me as i watched the gameplays. but book 2 really had me spooked and shaking after those jumpscares because of the design and the sound together all at once. plus, the gameplay has even gotten better. you actually have a task board that guides you if you don't know what you're supposed to do for the part in order to survive. along with graphics, and how your screen is laid out as you play. it's honestly just amazing! also, i was there watching your livestream for this new chapter of a new book, book 2. you did an awesome job playing this! keep up the great work!

Tips on the First Part: Door with ropes are safe If there are no ropes she can open door and you will die if you got chased. You can hide without ropes is she's far away (while getting chased)

Tips: Tip no.1: Dont open your candle/lantern when your getting chased she cant see you Tip no.2: Crouch sometimes they hear less Tip no.3: Hide in places with ropes, she cant go inside Tip no.4: Dont run too much it causes loud sounds Tip no.5: Try not to go peek just wait until she goes away The whole game she was camping us but it was worth it! Practice makes perfect👏

Tip no.6: When you're at the painting house part and the broken ship part, you need to play with their AI paths, bcs their AI is smarter than you might think, and don't crouch that much bcs they're slightly faster than you when they walk, just run when it's the right time to light the candles or when you get chased (and only crouch when you're near them, cus they can also hear you, even when they're far away from you) Tip no.7: When you get chased, circle around the map until you find a table or the entrance but never use too much of your stamina when they don't (and also, try not to panic, cus you're as fast as them)

I’m not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I’m just gonna put it out there. In the candle puzzle with the blind witch, when me and my friends tried this same order, it didn’t work because some of the candles just didn’t light. No matter what order we tried it in, there were certain ones that just didn’t work so, if anyone has any suggestions that would help it’d be much appreciated :P

Me and my cousins we're like that too and i think the problem is because your lighting up the wrong painting, if your light up the wrong painting the candle will not light. Edit:Did you light up the paintings he lit up? If you did you we're supposed to go to 5 houses each of the houses have 1 painting memorize all of the 5 paintings then light the ones you remember DO NOT light up the paintings that you DON'T remember because it will reset all of the correct paintings you lit up, lighting up the same paintings in the video will not work for you, if you light up the same paintings he lit up then it could be wrong for you.

you have to go to every house. there are 5 paintings (one in each house). you have to memorize them (or if you have bad memory like me you can just type whats in the picture in the chat) a little tip: the paintings are randomized each game At the blind witch part you have to light up the candles that have the same paintings. if you get one wrong you’ll have to light them up again also it doesn’t matter what order you put it in, as long you light up the correct paintings :) hope this helped!

im not sure if youve already figured it out or not, but what u need to do is look in every single door u can go into in the village and there will be paintings in most of the rooms. These paintings u need to remember bcuz they will also be above certain candles. once u know all the paintings u need to ONLY light the candles with the paintings u saw above them. do not light any of the candles that have a painting u didnt see or else all of the other candles will go out. once u light all of the correct candles (i think there is abt 5-6) then the orb will appear. hope this helped!!

i did some research from one piece to the mimic i googled what is the monster in florian triangle ended up in it saying umibozo and the umibozo is related to the mimic if you wanna know why the umibozo was the one that slapped us while we were in the boat
