In the Napoleonic wars Troops and Regiments would be scattered and frightened often considering they wouldn't know what to do but just to follow their commanding officers on the field, take it into your Point Of View, you're a Commanding Officer, you're leading about 100 Men's in your Regiment and you must know what to do attack the enemy and Walk to them, because that's how they made themselves truly scary because how the music and drums were playing with the Troops walking into formations and till they got into a few feet infront of them, Then they pull out their muskets and start firing and charging at the enemy.

Attend battles and training trust me I was a conscript for a while in 9e but once I started to attend training's and battles my officers started to recognize my effort and I quickly rose up the ranks now I am a caporal which isn't high but you have a little more privileges and respect
