i like it! Question: what if you set the photos to raw or setup specific exposure on the DJI camera settings? would you still need to do the color correction at the end?

Ideally you would shoot manual and kept your settings the same, but in his example the sun was setting and the exposure was changing quickly which may have made it difficult to keep the photos all consistent.

Hey! Yes, definitely a possibility. Just like Aaron Blake pointed out though, this was shot right at golden hour and some there were some interesting exposure issues going on. Also, since some drones don't have the manual option, and for the sake of the tutorial , I felt that it would benefit more people if we showed it this way. Even if you have it set to manual exposure I would almost bet that you still have to do some color and exposure corrections afterwards anyway. Plus, it's never fun to take the easy way out, right? ;) Glad you liked it though! - Jonas

Or you can try use 5 drones (collaborate with other drone user) & position them at the specific angles shoot the videos then stitch it together & voila you get a better result then a still image.

I tried this (didnt see this video) and failed a bunch xD My question is, after seeing your demonstration with the lines, should I focus on somethin at the far back? Lets say Theres an intersection, should that always be on the top of my photo (back or whatever)? so like, first photo intersection is in the far back (top of photo). second shot still far back (top) but further up and closer, and so on until last shot where the intersection would be on the top of my photo but camera pointing straight down. I usually get photo stuff but this perspective bending is messing with my braind xD Perhaps I should try an easier target this time as I did a pretty complex bridge last time with lots of stuff pointing up and shiz

I use Adobe Photoshop. Not sure if there is a free version to do this in. You will need a program that allows you to work with multiple layers, fade edges of the layers and ideally with masks so you can work indestructibly (always to back to how something was), and then of course general color, contrast and exposure changes. You can create this effect with only two images but it won't be as gradual, and then it wouldn't require as much power from the software you're using. Anyway, I think Photoshop is the best I can think of for this but it does cost a bit of money. Good luck! - Jonas

I finally got round to watching this! I'm wondering if the Photoshop "Edit > Auto-Blend Layers" function could have saved some time on the transitions? Obviously with the warping and perspective adjustments that would be done by eye. :-) Really fun, can't wait to get a drone to play with such ideas! Keep up the great work!

There are many different types of pine forests. This Long-leafed Pine that used to cover a lot of the south is pretty cool with a lot of other plants and animals dependent on it. If this is the type of pine you have around your place it sounds like an awesome place to live! :)
