perfect physical design and nice programs. I watched this guy's video in other competitions, each time he adds some new features without obvious change in the physical design. I wish I had the ability to build such a super robot.

The father son team behind King Kaiser are amazing. They have a shrine built to Gundam in their house. You can't see it in this, but under the kids coat in a harness system that controls the bots arms. You can see a story about them on Wired Science magazines show currently on hulu. Truly amazing stuff.

This is an old-ish video, that guy actually built a harness for his kid that translates the kid's motion into robot movements. They do lots of research, the dad had to learn how to build that robot from scratch so he studied a lot about cutting and bending aluminum and a bunch of other processes. He says that he's a pretty good programmer already and that really helped, because a big thing is getting good algorithms to fire the sirvos at the right time. I want to build one lol, but we'll see.

With a little bit investment and a huge crowd behind, I don't see why Robot Gladiatorial arena's aren't already huge, If only I had the money, I'd make full size robots fight to the death!

i think mostly remote controlled. well for the smaller red robot definitely mostly remote controlled....first that kid had a remote control in his hands and 2nd, there's no way an autonomous robot could anticipate the 'Monster' robot's attacks that quickly.
