Yeah, I know the feel. I basically did mourned robocraft years ago when I realized they killed the game for me. That effin wing update... killing the physics of flyers to put them on invisible traintracks, couldn't do anything interresting with it anymore... and I was a plane/bomber/ player, so it was like they didn't wanted my kind to play anymore. And for what? Because this while the playercount was diminishing, simplified physics allowed to reduce costs on servers... as if the servers didn't had problems before... that + every 2 update being more about milking players than making them want to play, it defo gave the game cancer, then it went through every stages of it, now it's just slowly dying.

damn. this hit me right in the feels. I used to love this game. it's still one of my most played games on steam, and i've not played in over 2 years. 2.6k hours logged. I wish that freejam had just listened to the community and fixed their mistakes instead of hurling the game into a pit of no return.

Robocraft was at it's peak around the time of boss battle mode, you can't change my mind I still can remember drawing sketches of my planned robots in highschool during lessons, easily one of my all time favourite games and an experience to be remembered

i will never understand why every time i find a game like robocraft or worlds adrift they both must go down, both of these games have changed my life for the better, if i never found jac or gromek i would most likely never be the person i am today, its been a wild ride filled with joy and humor all around. May this game remind freejam about the great community they have created may roborcraft live on in our hearts, lets hope freejam thinks to pick this cracked gem up from the dirt of this world. I was there with you and so many more people who brought joy with both awesome plays and goofy builds from the time before the Tesseracts..... I will remember. All of you and all those moments. Every scrapping of the news articles for possible hints. Every bit of hype as we peaced together the story of the Megabots pre-release. Every janky build, from the original helium snipers and T10 plasma drones, to Cluly's first electroplated Clulyball. Your first Slicers. The triforcing and ejector seats were the s$@t! All other kinds of mechanic-breaking stuff the newer players could only dream of. I will remember. Peace out, and hope to hear from you soon!

Nostalgia hit me like a god damn freight train. RIP Robocraft you will be missed and so will all my 100's of robot designs that got ruined through the updates, now just a remenant collecting dust. Such a shame really, at least the memories I made with the RC community as a whole will never be forgotten

From what I've read, they are still developing, but they gave up on Robocraft.

I personally started when legs were added. 2016 was the best imo, old big maps, new weapons, old wings (that worked like actual wings), old battle arena and old MM.

I remember when I still played Robocraft When the tech tree was still a thing Then they added the crates Good memories of slaughtering bots in practice mode Good memories of sniping with flak I stopped playing somewhere before or after the mortar I wasn't getting anywhere with my designs and I didn't have enough money to get better weapons And I've never really looked back, until now It is sad to see the game hanging on by a thread But as the quote goes Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Honestly I think Robocraft in its current form has a chance to get big again, just that we're not getting much advertisement. Actually, in most forms of the game, I feel like RC was still generally alright, just that Freejam changed too much all the time. I don't just miss the "good old days", I miss when the Mortar was first introduced, when wings let you roll and do loops, when hovers were still stable(i.e. the old physics engine), when crates were removed, I miss boosts and the metas that came with them. RIP Robocraft :(

My only regret is i waited so long to give the game a try. Ah this triggered so much memories. My best time in the game was playing megabots mode and the pit. Favorite classes: Healer Tesla and flyer plasma.

One of the games that really helped me get through depression and high school. So very sad to see all my hard work and everyone's efforts die. I found my favorite youtubers through their RC content and it hurts to know that all I can do is go back and re-watch the good times. It hurts, but in a good way. Sometimes I just wish I had started playing in 2014 instead of 2015. Robocraft is probably the only game that I've fully devoted my time to playing (have like, 1300 Steam hours plus some offscreen launcher hours, RIP that too). Compared to other games I played, neither one was as impactful as this, and honestly it's quite sad to watch it wither away in favor of Gamecraft. Even though Freejam put us through lots of ups and downs, all I can say is...thank you. For creating one of the best games I've probably played in my whole life. For letting me meet this community. For allowing me to build anything my heart desired. It's been a wild ride, and I sure hope Gamecraft provides something surprising as well. But with all said, I'm gonna miss RC as a whole. I hate to see how small companies always listen to investors rather than their customers. Go rework the game around MTX's it will help you they said. I absolutely hate how it ended. I mean, robocraft today is still kind of fun to play once in a while, but it was definately more epic back in the old days when our bots felt like massive badass war machines instead of just cartoonishly robots, but that could have something to do with that i started playing as an early teenager

I quit after Ion Sharks became a thing because stuff was just way too broken. Despite this, even quitting when I was like, 12, I’ve come back and used some of my down time to just vibe in the hanger perfecting my old bots. Which include an smg hover... and that’s it. Anyone else really annoyed that you have to pay an obscene amount of robits to fully upgrade bays now? Truly sad times. Thanks for being an epic RC tuber through all these updates. Hey, this was a blast in the past, loved the old GUI and gameplay! I liked the challenge of building artbots viable, to make a strong core, or just make it hollow so that rail shots go straight through. Loved the old thruster mechanics too. I remember seeing garage lenght rods of cubes covered in thrusters after "thruster sticks" became the meta, some people took it literally 😂😂😂

Thank you for making this farewell video, you really got me right where it feels most. Robocraft was essentially my childhood, so many vivid memories. Thinking about it makes me tear up. Recently opened the game to check what was going on but after a few games I couldn't go on, it just isn't the same as it once was. Robocraft has shaped me in more ways than it should have over the years. For example, if it weren't for this game, I never would have fixed my anger issues. I'm sad to see it die, but I'm also extremely hyped for Robocraft 2. I hope that one day Freejam will set their sights on fixing rc1 at least a little bit, but that's a best case scenario.

One of the only reasons I still enjoy this game today is because back in the game's glory days I didn't really have time to farm and unlock the high tier parts and now I have fun least I have all parts to experiment with. But even with that the game will never be like back then.
