There is a rc15 project with multiplayer version. It is dead. I doubt rc2 will be somewhat successful.

The shields were one of the coolest parts of robocraft..... strategically placing them was fun and satisfying; now it's just PlAcE bLoCks EvEryWheRe!!!!!!!. They dumbed it down big time.... Just look at how cool the first robot looks; and then the next one is just kind of Blaaaaaah.

I wouldnt use strategic placing to describe it lol. More so, you were forced to use the highest tier of a shield and had to change up your build. Blocks became almost unnecessary. You would just use rods, movement parts and shields in every which direction. When one shiled was out, you just punched thru that area more. In this version its more of a choice now. You want more shield, you use more blocks, be heavier/slower and have less access to redundant weapons.

@@TriloGStudio It was absolutely strategic as there was no "autoheal" outside of battle in the original game, which was great, it made every decision much more meaningful. The shields recharging was basically the only way to had to take damage that wasn't permanent (Minus the healing turrets which you couldn't depend on showing up in a random pub game). Shields on a block is simply blocks with more health, that autoheal even higher. When you were fighting enemies with shields you knew that taking out their shields was more important than just shooting blocks. When you constantly lost weapon or were killed from a certain angle; you compensated by adding shields covering that area. The shields were also incredibly expensive so you had to place them intelligently, and their complex shaped made that both complex and fun. That's all incredible strategic, and they gutted it, it's an absolutely brain dead decision. They also looked bad ass compared to the block mobiles that I've seen in early footage; look at your own footage; that first shielded car looks cool as hell; and the second one looks like it was snapped together with Legos in a kindergarten class.

​@@abundance5767 стрелять нужно в блоки, а не в щиты. Тогда можно нанести критический урон, сломав блок, на котором расположен щит. В любом случае, скорее всего, щиты добавят в обновлениях. Тем более, робокрафта лучше, чем тот, что есть сейчас, не существует. Лучше ценить то, что есть, чем не иметь никакой игры из доброго прошлого.

Just saw there will be a playtest...i LOVED that game when i was 13 years old. I hope they will stick to what the community of mostly OG players loved and wont try to fit every gaming trend into the game. No one needs another battle royal, we need driving around in stuff that can or cant fly, looks beautyful or ugly, 20 guns fixed to 20 blocks just driving around getting killed in seconds, some dude who made a platform with some rotors to carry people around because he wants to have fun. I have so many memorys of this game and ideas i build. Not trying to be the best in the game, but trying to have as much fun as possible. OG Robocraft was something...

yea ALL devs ruin their own games with nerfs annd blances that dont work but they do a new fix, they never undo some of the bad and try over with the balancing, its just one hot fix ontop of another till the game is a mess. if a nerf doesnt work, undo it try something diffeent that does, dont keep the same failed attempts valid, the failed cut them lose haha so many good games gone cause of this. galactic junk league anyone?

What? i just saw a video talking about the demise of robocraft, and now this pops up? I can't help myself and feel that this game still has hope, because i will definitely play this, looks exactly what i would like, kind of a remaster of Robocraft, that game is cool.

honestly as long as they keep the feeling of old robocraft with it's progression of trying to make a vehicle with all kinds of tiers blocks because poor. Also Mega Bots, I loved and missed them they were cool just bigger vehicles.

this looks interesting but I'm not sure how I feel about the graphic design, I think they're trying to make it look too modern when they should be trying to make it look retro which the original robocraft had and that gave it a ton of charm. I especially think around the shooting & destroying of blocks it just looks really odd in this version of the game the way they have them flying off and becoming objects on the map for a few seconds instead of exploding. I think that's just freejam showing off their physics instead of something that should actually be in the game so I hope that's not in the final product

Issue with the blocks flying off? They arent interactable when their on the ground. Just curious why you find that as an issue.

neat, i got the beta just so i have acess to the game when its got more to it, ill let others test this, i did the 1st and they nerfed me till it was no longer fun, which right around the time they forced the modes on us, when i couldnt CHOOSE elimination and had to play that stupid crystal tower mode i lost most interest in the game. glad to see they are going back to basics, lets home they leave some of the junk out this time, bfore propellors and wings hovers did fine, now in RC1 you cant even use hovers they are so bugged out lol
