Dimitri Boyarski The robots indeed look a lot like each other, but they do have different hardware components etc.. Does not take away the fact that software is still a really important factor for winning these kind of matches.

Surprisingly so. They only have to do 1 thing, get in the way... I guess it comes down to computing power. I imagine goalkeepers in the future will have to be limited otherwise the speed of which the ball has to travel to beat the goalkeeper computer would have to be astronomical :P
