I have had the S5 for about a week now and have used it every day for spot cleaning and cleaning the whole house. This is my first robot vacuum, but I will say this thing is amazing! It finds its' home even if I try to trick it by moving it by hand. I am blown away by the mapping ability as well. Very easy to use and works better than expected. I agree, if they come out with a self emptying version, they would probably corner the market. Only reason Roomba might, is simply by it's name. I think one thing they could do is slow down that side brush just a tad bit more. I don't know why all these manufacturers feel like it needs to spin a hundred mph! My only complaint... very minor one. I am 100% sold on this thing. It is fun to watch it map the house for the first time, too.

Fully agree and same thing. Just bought it and started playing around with it. But my side brush is only going very fast when running along the wall. It slows down when it is running elsewhere. I believe it is running fast along the walls to get as much dirt as possible out from there. It might shoot it away, but then it will pick it up later when it is running slow.

Hey just out of curiosity why did you use a 2x4 to block off that side of the room when you could have just used a no-go line?

Hello, I have always wanted to buy a robot vacuum but have been on the edge because I am very particular with scratches in my hardwood floors and baseboards. Did you have any problems like these from all the tests you have done?

I believe this was on medium setting...has a high and max as well.

The Roborock S6 significantly quieter on its MAX setting but has a slightly less CFM than the S5 😮😞
