1. Rapidly exploring Random Trees or RRT* which is a popularly used sampling-based approach for planning problems for robotics
2. Batch Informed Trees or BIT*, a novel method by Gambell et. al. (2015) that unifies the idea of graph-based and sampling-based approaches for planning.
