This still gives me chills and every time. The fact this happened LIVE makes it even more insane! This very well can become a full cinematic mini film. I love the effects sound design and the music. Say what you will about how “cringe” the floss was at the end, but that just gives this event that distinct, fortnite touch of goofiness to this crazy intense event.

@@commentman575 no lmao, Godzilla (from monsterverse) received an impact of the castle bravo nuke, the permian extinction asteroid impact, which was the reason of the biggest mass extinction on earth it had a country sized explosion and godzilla tanked it at point blank with 0 damage, and a fall from outer space. Godzilla's weight (99,634 tons) and skin toughness alone wouldn't let the sword in, if the robot tried to hit godzilla with the sword it would break, none of robots weapons would be effective against godzilla. if he couldnt destroy that little island, no way it could win godzilla

0:45 here’s a fun fact about that tiny pirate camp that got attacked: if you went to it after the event, epic was amazing with the damage it done to the map and decided to include that camp as a destroyed variant in the aftermath. Also if you went to the smashed vault at loot lake before the mech completely broke it open, it would also be partially destroyed.

When i first saw this event i was kinda expecting them to leave all the damage, debree from the mech, new destroyed mountains etc on the map until chapter 2 arrived.

Exactly. The big bang was so underwhelming because of the time altering things happening in Season Og. Kevin the cube succeeded this time, the monster escaped polar peak and could’ve attacked us whenever and the mech wouldn’t be able to save us, Slone or Jones didn’t make an appearance and we literally got a menacing villain that could time travel. Really disappointing, i thought this event would compensate for the lackluster story this chapter 😐

And idk how this cringey when you had a sea monster that shot freaking green beams from its mouth, and the robot with missies, and you from my friend have bad taste for whats cringe or not cringing.”no one would know where will it hit.” Yeah no one would know, but the rocket event was going through rifts. So at best the actual rocket event was 50 seconds to a minute. Because there was always noting happening when the rocket went throw the rifts, and also that wasn’t omega, if you know the Fortnite story line, that was the visitor. This event was pure action for 5 minutes, and the plot twist where the statue was a sword. That shit was amazing, the only cringing about this event was when he flossed but that was it.

Is anyone gonna talk about how this game is doing all these crazy dynamic storytelling feats without barely having any story elements/gameplay at all? It's a damn game about players jumping out of a flying bus and killing each other on the island, yet it still manages to do stuff like THIS?! And let's not forget the addition of the metaverse and all the different characters? The whole game has become like a dynamic storytelling medium , for the lack of a better description, because players are constantly interacting with each other OUTSIDE of the game and sharing their newest findings . Honestly don't know how to describe it. I hated the game and I don't play it, but all of this is just impressive. No wonder it's such a huge deal
