The sequence of operations starts with the robot autonomously grabbing a pallet from a stack. This stack is conveniently loaded by a forklift, so it is a steady supply of pallets for uninterrupted operation. Next, an ultrasonic sensor is employed to locate the top pallet. This precision is crucial to minimize errors. Then the robot moves into position, equipped with a forked end effector that allows it to pick up the pallet and place it at the loading position on a conveyor. This step makes sure the pallet is positioned correctly for the next phase.
The next phase is the slip sheet stage area. Using a vacuum, it picks up slip sheets and positions them precisely on the pallet at the load position. The seamless integration of vacuum technology enhances the machine’s adaptability and efficiency. For the main task, the robot works and loads the 50lb salt or mineral blocks until the pallet is completely loaded. Once the pallet is loaded the robot selects another pallet and slip sheet to create a stack. This stacking process is designed for optimal space utilization and ease of transportation.
When a stack of two is completed, the conveyor system activates. The conveyor safely transports the stack to the end of the line, where it passes through a set of light curtains, ensuring the safety of the whole process. At the end of the conveyor, a forklift operator can easily remove the stack of pallets, ready for distribution. The integration of robotic automation and forklift operation is the combination of the best of both worlds and optimizes workflow while prioritizing the safety of workers.
