13:59 TIP Si tiene problemas en la parte de la escalera, le recomiendo lijar la pieza E2, en las zonas de movimiento de las piezas D F G H e I (ensamble de E10, E11, E12, E13, E14, E15 ), además recomiendo usar la cera para disminuir la fricción entre todas las piezas que tengan contacto entre si (se incluyen los peldaños de la escalera y las piezas D15), tambien puede acomodar un poco las piezas E1 y E4 para ajustar la presión de toda la escalera cuando este todo armado 😊 PD: verifique que los peldaños suban de forma intercalada, si no ocurre esto, utilice cera entre los peldaños con los problemas de roce y de ser necesario, lije solo un poco las piezs que generen el roce.

I bought this at an estate sale today for $25. Brand new as well. Wasn't sure if I needed a razor blade to remove the pieces but from what I saw in this video, you simply pop them out with your fingers. I like that.

I've built several things like this. Patience and skill are helpful, but you learn quickly, and each single task is not hard. Just make sure you read the instructions and only punch out what you need. You CANNOT skip ahead - or you'll have to take things apart and start over. The fun starts when you add the marbles!

i havent broken any my self but i think its a lost cause. i dont have proof that u could buy replacements, but try some model cement or glue when you break them then remove the excess be careful thought. hopefully i helped ya

The ball bearings don't fall into the large gear wheel when I completed the build so I can't run it properly . A little disappointed....... Was still fun to assemble though.

maybe the gears dont touch so they can rotate. I had the same problem but i just moved the stairs and tested it over and over again till it worked

The two A2 pieces that are on either side of the main gear if glued, making sure the holes line up for the axle, makes it easier to install the main gear since your not trying to line up 3 pieces.

You've probably already figured this out, but just in case - I had the same problem, and it was because the pieces weren't *quite* completely in the slots on the base. It took a fair bit of wriggling and carefully-applied force, but I got it going. Another tip is to wax the front facing of the staircase gear, because if it rubs against the supporting bit it can jiggle it off-course.
