I think the first game I ever played with two stick shooting was Hunter the Reckoning on Xbox. Currently, I'm playing Slime 3K which is a Brotato clone that uses the same run and gun style as Robotron.

Robotron wasn't the first game to use it but, it was definitely the most influential. A similar dual joystick game on Xbox indie market is Guns, Gore and Canoli. I enjoyed it.
