Hi Rob! This is Ryan, the designer in the back left corner of the CTG stream. I am really sorry if anything we said was construed by anybody as a dig at you. We are really glad that you offer honest opinions on everything you do, and we were certainly not intending the couple of jokes we made to be an actual critique of your format. What you're doing totally makes sense and is a great fit for your audience! We had already been planning on doing this stream for almost a month, and because Shannon was in from Canada, we decided to make it be a four-player stream and to see if we could do a playthrough to show how it might look to play a game once everyone in your group knows how to play. It was not at all a response to your videos, which we have been really glad to see. As far as my enjoyment of the game goes, I assure you that I was having a good time playing and hanging with my friends! I have a caffeine addiction, and I just look like that. Baggy eyes, had 'em all my life :) Anyway, sorry again for anything we said or did that led you to believe we were being critical, because that was not our intent at all. And if any CTG fan who was making mean comments about Rob's video on the internet sees this, be respectful or leave him alone!

Well, I watch this channel solely for the rants and the games and all the gameplay is secondary. Keep it up, Rob.

Really appreciate the RobRant! I love that you give your honest opinion and talk through your choices as well. I like watching the long playthroughs to get a proper feel of the game, how it works and what might not work for me. I only watch playthroughs to help decide if i want to back or buy a game. I backed this earlier because of the theme and i had wanted to give CTG a try, the stuff from you and GamingRules! has made me realize this is definitely a game for me and i cannot wait to get it. Keep up the great work Rob and Mel :)

Similar comment from episode #1, but keep doing what you're doing Rob. As someone who definitely doesn't have the time to watch your full playthroughs (at normal speed), I just watch them after-the-fact on 2x speed and they're great. Thanks for trying your hardest to be un-biased. P.S. I'm definitely a CTG fanboy, but still love your content ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@dmoodz Haha thanks for watching! I also assume most people won't watch it all in one sitting, neither would I expect anyone to. 😆 #ChipmunkRob

First as a chip theory fan boy, how dare you. Second, great rant. Don’t get me wrong it takes me weeks to get through your playthroughs but for these big games they are the most valuable to me. I like to hear the good and the frustrations because as much as I love bones sometimes I draw a baddie or a card and it just makes me want to rage haha. And good point on the channels that just give the good. Like all new to the hobby I fell for that and had to learn that a lot of that is just the business and sometimes just different tastes. You have to know you. Your long ass plays ensure that I will see all the ups and downs but since I already backed I’m not looking for you to convince me because they got me money

Hey Rob! Something Twitch streamers that also release on KZbin have started doing and would be appreciated, I feel like, is to show their chat on the screen for future KZbin watchers. Would you consider doing this, thoughts? I enjoy observing comments as I watch the video in full screen on my phone/TV and the streamer responds.

as stated, my reply was more of a personal message and i said i would delete once seen so i have done that which removed your reply too.. thanks for getting back to me rob.. we're all good.. keep up the super long playthroughs!! for me i put playthroughs of games on to fall to sleep to because i don't like silent rooms to sleep in.. so a couple people just chatting and playing games is theraputic, so the longer the better!!.. because if its short i run the risk of NRB coming on in the middle of the night on autoplay.. and even though i love them during the day their yelling and screaming doesn't make for good sleeping material 😂😂

Totally understand. I fall asleep to podcasts and audio books. Pro tip: Most KZbin apps have a setting to turn off auto play if you need it. 🤓

Not everything is for everyone, such is life. Can’t speak for anyone else, but I appreciate the non-biased approach and thorough explanations during play. Also, I’m pretty sure the live play throughs to day 12 or EOG are all similar-ish length. People will complain about anything.

I missed the start of the stream. I love CTG and I have gone all in on this from day one of the crowd funding launch but I am also aware of the flaws and I appreciate your openness and honest feedback and criticisms. I find your streams are helpful for me to decide if this is a game I want to get to the table right away or if it will sit gathering dust for a wee while whilst we focus on something else. It’s also an excellent guide for me to predict whether or not it’s going to be too fussy for my husband. From your play through I know he’s going to have a love hate relationship with this game and I now know how to engage him to trick him in to enjoying it. Basically I use your streams to manipulate him. (If you read this comment, husband, I am sorry you found out this way) I have supported the channel for 4 years, at the start of stream 1 - I was prepared for you to not enjoy it. But the moment you started playing, I could tell where your frustrations were and the aspects you loved. I feel anyone that has been watching you a long time would be able to tell that. I hope any newbies will stick around and get to know you guys. 😊

Ive watched a lot of this channel -- Rob and Mel have turned me on to, and off of, many games in the past. And I will continue to watch, so I do not mean for this to be some inflammatory comment. But when this stream goes to "facebook jackasses" and viewers that are "not so bright", I am turned off. And when he especially calls out CTG's stream for one of its participants drinking Dr Pepper and yawning "clearly not wanting to be there", it really turns me off. Everyone games differently, and enjoys games differently, and it seems to me that, over the length of the highly entertaining (and thankfully to-the-point) CTG video, Ryan and all of the other CTG staff are having a very good time together. For as much as this Rob Rant seems to deflect toxicity towards him, it is creating as much towards viewers and other streamers. The tirade was a bit more toxic than the reaction to your first stream, Rob.

@@TableTopTroubadour I totally agree with most of this. My words could have been chosen better in some instances. I may have shot back a little harder than necessary. I appreciate the honest feedback. Thanks! 👍

People come to Rob's channel knowing it is going to be a certain way. Rob's way. If you like it, stay. Lots of choice out there if you don't prefer his methods. To take CTG jokes about time frame as an insult is a bit much though. Moving on.
